Els
Uh... hard to give advice without knowing your bf. But teddy bears for a guy is just wrong. Wrong.
denise_xo
But teddy bears for a guy is just wrong. Wrong. Totally. No teddy bears for a 31 year old man. Seriously. It's maybe less romantic, but I tend to ask a partner what he would like. I make sure to get a few alternatives so that it's not completely predictable. In my current relationship presents have tended to be experiences - a weekend away, a concert that might be a bit more expensive than what we'd normally spend combined with a nice dinner, that kind of thing. Hazel_eyes
What are some of your guys interests? I always try to get my husband gifts that support his interests. For example: He LOVES hot tea, so I got him an authentic Japanese teapot with fancy loose leaf tea. He made 4 pots that night lol.He enjoys PC gaming, so I get him gaming stuff like a gaming mouse and whatnot (I always save the receipt for that though, I'm technologically clueless on that stuff, so we can return it if I get something incompatible and whatnot). My husband played college baseball. So with the help of some of his teammates I got him some super nice, expensive batting gloves. The most money I have ever spent on a gift. These meant more to him than most things I have ever gotten him.My husband hates driving in the car and long trips. So I surprised him one day before he had to leave on a trip with new seat covers, a cushy hand thing for the steering wheel, an air freshener, coin organizer, and cd of songs that make me think of him to listen to. I also cleaned the inside and outside of the car for him. He said it made the whole trip wonderful and different and he loved it. Also just think back about conversations and things mentioned in passing. Several things my husband mentions just out of the blue hoping we can get them in the future. Hang on to the tidbits, most times he forgets mentioning them and then when I surprise him with that item he gets surprised and excited. Some people try to plan romantic presents or things like that, but I like doing gifts this way cause they are things he likes and it makes him feel like I listen and really get him. Hope that helps!
