Leigh 87
Hi! Is measuring around your wrist necessarily accurate in determining frame sizes? I know it would not be accurate in ALL cases, because my wrists size is 5.5 - 6 inches, and I did the elbow size test and was 2 inches - yet I have very large ankles - my ankle bones are larger than most women. I have broad shoulders, large ankle bones, yet I look curvy and healthy at 114- 115 lbs at 5 ' 5 ish. I thought a large or medium framed women would look too thin at that weight, cos their bones would be too large and pike through at a slim weight? Perhaps if I knew what small and medium framed women measured around their wrists, I would be able to compare my results with women who already know their frame size. Yet, most women with small frames weigh about my weight or higher. Edited January 16, 2011 by Leigh
USMCHokie
Is measuring around your wrist necessarily accurate in determining frame sizes? No. Wrist size is very dependent on genetics, and changes in wrist size are negligible when compared to the changes in the rest of your body.
Author Leigh 87
My wrists are smaller than my parents. I guess I can assume that I am a medium frame - seeing as I have broad shoulders, normal knee joint size, and thick ankles. I HATE my bone size. I wish I had smaller bones lol. Because I am as slim as is healthy for my frame, but I find smaller builds to look more attractive. They can be bigger for their frame, yet still be small in size than me, even though I am very slim for my own frame.
