minnie
Hi Just a quick question as I'm interested whether any of you has input on this. I used to do a bit of cocaine every now and then and always had a GREAT time; being clear and feeling happy and very perceptive. Even though I have probably in times taken a bit too much of it but never felt strange.... About 5 years ago I did some Ecstasy and felt fine; energetic and danced all night but felt fine. I went to this club last night and asked the guy next to me whether he could get me some coke; he said no, but got me a pill instead. I swallowed it and it took about 15 minutes to hit. Boy, it hit!!!!!! I had never felt this bad in my entire life; can't describe the feeling but completely "sick", so I had to get up and wonder. All of a sudden, I lost all my sense of direction and was sort of walking in a circle and desperately tried to find my friend freakin out. Hearing weird stuff and completely out of control! I was very aware of it and it felt horrible as I couldn't really distinguish all the people around me, just saw shadows and as I said had NO SENSE of direction and had no clue where I just came from and where I should go. So scary. I finally made it back to the chillout room, sat down with my friend and was still so scared. This horrible feeling went away after about half an hour followed by something quite "pleasant". I absolutely did not feel like dancing but just sat and chat with my friend until 9 in the morning. Any ideas, what they gave me?
Vivid_29
Describe it to me. What did it look like? Um, hon - Why didn't you ask him what it was? It could have been a cyanide tablet for crying out loud!!! ~V
minnie
Hi Vivid Thanks so much for responding! I was in a bit of a "****ty" mood and therefore didn't really care what I was swallowing and also did not look at the sign on the pill. In fact, I don't think it had any sign or picture on it but was just (boy, what's that colour in English----- running to get a dictionnary, wait :-) violet I guess it was
Vivid_29
Sorry darling - The ecstacy I have taken were white and yellow with little pikachus on it. Last October, I took a violet colored one, but it was garbage! I don't know what the heck you took. Be a little more careful next time. Remember - drugs are bad! ~V
reasontosigh
When I'm in that sort of rotten mood, I'll just up the drinks. For instance, if I'm drinking beer I'll have a shot with it. At least that way I know what I'm getting into! I already know from experience my body doesn't react to coke well (the problem there is when I come down from it), so I'm not about to bother with pills! And especially in clubs (or extremely crowded bars) I'll even take my beer bottle to the ladies' room! You just never know when someone might try to put something in your drink. Side benefit: if there's a line for the bathroom, it gives you something to do while you're waiting. Hope you're feeling better and, like Viv said, be careful next time! yes
isn't alcohol enough? there's so much variety! i'd be very weary of any pills passed out in clubs... better luck next time, -yes
Arabess
I really wouldn't take ANYTHING unless I was very familiar with either the drug or the source.
jenny
a LOT of x is split with crack and sometimes with a derivative of rat poison. yours sounds like it might had had some impure ergot or cid on it, and possibly some sedative. i know some people put sudafed, drowsy or not, into the mix, so that's possible too. hang in there, it will probably be ok in about 5 days, don't drink or use until then. drink a lot of water!! now: listen *please*: befriend a good chemist and an ethical 'cook'. seriously. if you plan to do this again, do your research and figure out whom you can trust and ask questions about our product. until it is legalized, the only one who is going to protect your consumer interests in *you*. read up on the stuff, actual chemistry manuals, not just government pamphlets, and know what you are doing. Darkangelism
E is never going to be legalized.
Pookette
I've been too scared to do it after my then boyfriend ended up in the psychiatric ward. Who knows if it was from the X, although I think it certainly helped. I've only done it twice and I loved it, but I don't want to end up mental. A question along the same lines as the post: Most "brands" are white, blue, whatever. What could give it a nasty brown color?
Thinkalot
I've never touched the stuff. I'd be too scared to take a pill from someone in a club. Hope you feel OK now.
moimeme
It can do quite a bit of damage. But we all know that everyone under 30 is indestructible
jenny
if you take it pure, it's not too bad. not great, of course, but not as bad as a night of binge drinking. it depletes your natural source of serotonin considerably. to me, it was worth the punishment. the feeling is incomparably good - for me, it was like everyone was witty and spectacular- no one was, for once, totally demographically predictable. whenever i think about what heaven should be like, it would be like the feeling on good, chemically pure, e: dancing until 6 am; eveyone asexual, benevolent, and fun; objectively; it rocked. it was like everyone had killer production values after normally appearing like canadian television, if that makes sense. i was lucky, all things considered. but that was a long time ago, and besides, that wench is dead. but i'm happy to have felt so much a part of my generation; i would not give up my times in raves for anything. i also know it has made me more credible when counselling drug addicted young women; i get the reasoning. Darkangelism
The long-term effects of drugs (E) are not worth the limited fun, also doing drugs to make yourself feel better is not the way to do it.
jenny
yes. when in doubt, listen to nancy reagan.
minnie
To you all: thanks a lot for your answers!! It's Monday morning and luckily I can go to work as I spent Sunday AWFULLY depressed with my boyfriend on a business trip in Asia!! I was in a sort of bad state when I entered the club (problems with one of my parents really ill). Also, decided to hang out with my ex-boyfriend that night (absolutely nothing happened) and the club was some hardcore gay-club where you can get any drug you want. So, all in all a pretty sleazy night, which I usually HATE! I'm catholic after all ;-) My conclusion: do drugs when you are already quite happy and feel positive. I took it at the worst possible moment and feel like all my serotonin has gone and am not even looking forward to my boyfriend coming home on Thursday! And I do LOVE him so much but really feel so low and indifferent after that pill. I know, it will be back to normal, just sucks a bit right now. Again, thanks for your thoughts! minnie
Hi guys Just came home from work and had a really miserable and depressed day!! What was your worst after taking any kind of drug. Has that "down feeling"/depression ever lasted for more than two days. I have been terribly depressed for two days after taking drugs and almost start getting worried :-( Inputs? sweetbilly
You know, this is the reason why people wind-up in a coffin, and the reason why drugs are illegal.
yagottahelp
Haven't you guys read the articles about everytime you have "x" it puts a hole the size of the pill through your brain???? (dead cells of course, not like swiss cheese holes!)
longlegzs80
HEY MINNIE: Why would you take a drug from someone you don't know?
pav186
minnie... I have a feeling that what you took was probably Ketamine or DXM but its VERY hard to say from what u described. E is cut with tons of stuff (but not coke, rat poison, or heroin as rumor would suggest) There are also a lot of research chemicals which are being sold as E (2-CB, 5 Meo-Dipt etc) so it could have been one of those. The down feeling can last for a week or more. Since you are feeling down there must have been some MDMA in it, but could have been cut with something else. sweetbilly...This may be the reason people end up in coffins but is exactly why drugs should be legal. This is the result of an unregulated market like when people used to get blind from bathtub gin. When was the last time someone when blind drinking captain morgan? The black market creates high levels of violent crime (like alcohol prohibition), rampant corruption (like alcohol prohibition), reductions in purity (like alcohol prohibition), increase in use by teenagers simply because of its illegality (like alcohol prohibition) are you starting to see the connection? It is all basically a self-fulfilling prophecy... drugs are illegal because they are dangerous but are dangerous because theya re illegal. In the U.S. less than 4,000 deaths are from illicit drugs, 400,000 from tobacco, 100,000 from alcohol, 7000 from aspirin. This is a subject I am very opinionated on. BTW, many of the deaths attributed to E were actually from impurities like PMA which were used because the chemicals needed were restricted. This wouldnt have happened if the chemicals werent restricted. DA...i disagree, drugs will be legalized at some point but it just depends when. It may be 5, 10 or 20 years. 75% of Americans (sorry but I dont have worldwide stats) already feel the drug war isn't working and there are many leading groups of economists, criminal justice professionals, scientists and doctors who feel that drugs should be controlled and regulated instead of being left to a black market. Unfortunately the politicians do an excellent job of covering up the real statistics and using their bull**** ones in the ridiculous anti-drug commercials we're all used to seeing and using the line "protect our kids" to pass any piece of legislation they want. It's like the magic words in this country. The u.s. spends over $40 billion on the drug war and has nothing to show for it except one of the worlds highest incarceration rates (just below russia) and some of the highest drug use rates by adults and teenagers. The rest of the world is starting to wise up a bit, im just waiting for them to finally tell the U.S. to shove it and move towards harm reduction. This is why it is not good for one country to have too much power and why I wish the world would decide their own laws instead of checking in with what King Bush has to say. longlegz...its common for people to take drugs from people they dont know. E is typically made in the netherlands. ::sorry guys, rant off, you hit a nerve with the pro-drug war stuff:: And drugs may have consequeces down the line but I will worry about them when the time comes. I have had some of the best times of my life with friends doing crazy ****. Sometimes fun costs you and im willing to make that decision and live with the consequences. ace876
pav186 summed it up well. There's no question that it was not ecstacy and if it was done in a regulated market, situations like this would never occur. Also, there was recently a nightline report debunking ALL claims the the DEA and supposed "studies" that claimed specific harm by ecstacy. Those new reports are showing that it's less harmful than asprin, in the big picture. But, wait for the truth to be shown (it may take decades), and by studies NOT funded by the US govt. -Ace
pav186
yeah the DEA still cites a study done by Ricuarte in which actually admitted that he injected monkeys with the wrong chemical. He gave them methamphetamine instead of MDMA, and said that there was damage that could lead to parkinsons, meanwhile anyone educated on drugs knows that MDMA acts on serotonin receptors and not on dopamine receptors. Damage to dopamine neurons is what leads to parkinsons. Drug studies need to be done by 3rd party scientists with nothing to gain by having the results come out one way or another. Bill
You get what you deserve for doing illegal drugs. They are illegal for a reason. pav186 drugs are illegal because they are dangerous but are dangerous because theya re illegal. They are dangerous because they are drugs. They are dangerous because of the effects they have, both short-term and long-term. I also believe that cigarettes should be outlawed. Too much politics there.
