I hate to sound like a commercial, but I just bought the P90X and highly recommend it to anyone. I have had the system for over three weeks and already have seen significant growth and improvement. I lost 10 pounds and am seeing definition in my stomach, my musle size in general is improved. I have a hard time doing the jazzercize type work outs like Yoga and do not usually finish the whole work out and do not follow the diet plan, (they say this is the key in the work out plan) just eat low fat and healthy. Yet have seen a huge difference.

The cost includes: the system $140, Pull up bar $35, Dumbells about $100 alreay had these so thats a guesstimate.

Everyone I talk to have had similair or better results. One former navy man lost 60lbs and continues to follow it and looks really buff now (although he is addicted to working out and does quite a bit more). At 32 I was not overwight but definitely could be in better shape. I am seeing more gains in three weeks than when I would go on three month daily lifting spurts.

Love the program, I got it, the pullup bar, the free weights etc and its an INSANE workout but it produces results like crazy. Those Mason twists on ab ripper x, KILL ME EVERY TIME!

I did that last year. It was fun for about 3 weeks, then it got really old and repetitive to me - I think I quit around week 5. I could start quoting what Horton was going to say before he said it. But some of his lines are pretty hilarious... during yoga:

Get reeeeaalll deep... feeeeeel the stretch... fiiiight for inches...

That's what she said! :lmao:

I want to do it!!! My boyfriend and I have talked about it but the thing is he doesn't want to do the pilates type yoga stuff and I don't want to do some of the weights. I wouldn't mind trying the diet, but he said no diet for him. Neither of us are really looking to lose weight so much as we just want to be fit and healthy. If we only do half of the program I couldn't justify spending that much money for it.

DO IT!!!!!! I am the same as your boyfriend, I struggle to complete the yoga and stretch X DVDs but love the weights. One thing I dig about the program is you make it what you want (to a degree). On the weights he talks about doing reps for your goal "8-10 reps for size 12-15 for lean muscle." Star Gazer is right even with 12 discs it can get repetitive and I've gotten to the point I will go off the work out sheets and have it on in the back ground. But it is a motivator for me, I think that is a huge part of any routine.

And the "jazzercize" type workouts are the hardest routines. could be fun showing up your man while gets his butt kicked by Yoga or the plyometrics

P90x rocks. I still cannot do unassisted pullups but was able to do quite a bit of boy pushups after completing the rotation a couple years ago.

It's almost embarrassing to admit how many workout dvds I own but P90x system also helped to structure the use of the those workouts into p90x style rotations. It's well worth the investment and the portion control option of nutrition plan is one of the best and easiest to follow for someone like me who doesn't cook much.

I love p90x so far! Just finished week 2. My friend and I are doing the proportion phase 1 fat shredder diet. It can be pretty tough to stick to on the weekends, so were designating a cheat day to go out and have some drinks. We bought the recovery shakes and supplements... pretty hardcore I guess! Haha I actually really like the yoga x, but my favorite is kempo! I recommend it to anyone serious about getting in shape. You can modify anything and make it work for you!

Yep love this program. I did this last year for about 4 months solid with all the supplements etc....wow is all I can say. It really stepped up my MTB game when out bush. I'm just getting back into it again now but not as intense. These days I'm just trying to keep the weight off. :)
