Briefly, applied for legal aid twice due to lost paperwork (not my doing) last Sept. Re-applied in November. By the time the team reached case it was Jan 19th and now rejected as I have started 2 terms maternity leave cover. How then, has my STBXH (earning at least the same as I will be temporarily earning) been able to get Legal Aid when he has worked full time in a permanent job for a year and his new partner works?!!! That sucks! He walked out, we have joint debts to the bank which are on "hold." and I can't see how I'll ever afford to get this to court to be resolved. He has not given full financial disclosure and only pays for his daughter as the CSA tracked him. After 27 years of marriage, raising our 5 children, and working myself, whenever I could ,I am not giving up on my share of his pension! But how will I ever afford a barrister to sort this mess out?
