ladyangel
I met my husband fifteen years ago through a dating service -- before the internet days. People paid good money to weed out the losers and married men and they did a good job of matching up people with a lot in common. I had grown tired of meeting married men who liked to pretend they weren't married -- ick. And I definitely didn't like the bar scene. My career required a lot of my time and I had a young son to care for, so I didn't have a lot of time to get out there and meet people. I dated a few guys through the service and then met my husband, who was a perfect match.

End of my rope
Online, in a Yahoo chat room. I was so not looking for love at the time. When we finally decided to meet one another it was love at first site. Something in me recognized something in him. It was the most magical night of my life, we've been together over a year now and are getting married in September this year.

Thinkalot
Well, yes, you know my story already! But in case anyone else doesnt I'll tell it again (makes me feel happy). I was going to meditation classes, and became friends with my teacher/clairvoyant. One day my partner approached her in her shop asking about the classes. He'd never been to anything like that before. She told me later that she immediately began thinking of me. She ran two classes a week, one on tuesday nights, the other on wednesday nights. I always went wednesdays, so she told my bf that the Tuesday class was full! When I saw him the next wednesday I felt drawn to talk to him, and thought he looked cute! By the second week I got up the courage to ask him out for a coffee, which he gladly accepted! We went from there...
GeorgiaSongbird
I first met my sweetie in high school. He had a bit of crush on me and we went out on a few dates but the relationship didn't go anywhere (mostly because I wouldn't let it). Fast foward several years (7 or 8?) we bumped into each other at work.. I'd been there since high school and he had just started. He spent a few weeks coming to my desk on break and talking before he got the nerve to ask me out. My mom says I should have stayed with him from the beginning and saved myself alot of trouble. RedneckRomeo
ya know - I really dont fit this yet - as I dont have an official girlfriend yet - but when I do ask her, I'm highly certain that things will fall right together - so I'll tell how I met her. First met her back in grade-school. It was a private (Christian) school, and not very big. 12 long years ago it was, and I was 10. lol. Nothing really happened back then, but we were friends, and after a year or two, her and her brothers and sister all left the school to be home-schooled. I ran into her maybe once or twice between then and about a year and a half ago, when I saw her again, barely recognized her, but she looked great! Then about 6 months later - we really started hanging out, and she was still as hot as ever - and now I see her every weekend, and I am so into her, and if I read all the signals she's sending correctly - she's crazy about me too. The really amazing thing though - is how everything in my life has pieced together just perfectly to lead me to where I am now. Shyness as a kid led to lonliness as a teenager, led to searching for people to hang out with that eventually became friends, which led to bringing myself back in touch with her, and there is no way I'm gonna lose her again. It didnt mean much back then, but she means everything to me now, even though she might not know it yet.
Karlise
My BF and i met online in a chat room. We weren't looking to hook up at the time. We just chatted a lot and ended up exchanging emails After e-mailing for several months, we sent each other real letters in the mail with photos. I think we both liked each other but the distance (we're from different states originally) threw us off. It just seemed TOO FAR, you know? Plus, we were both dating other people at the time. It was a long friendship that turned into more after almost a year of emails, letters and phone calls. I took a drive down to see him one night and the rest of history. Once we hooked up, we decided to be monogamous. Now, three years later, we live together and are parents to two dogs.

I especially enjoy how he is pointing off at the stage coach, as if to say "Stop! We have yet to decipher his ancient text!" I met my current interest in a hospital many years ago. I met one other special woman in a different hospital, come to think of it.

Kat
We first 'chatted' over the net. However we shared the same group of 'real life friends'. All our 'relationship' was face to face. So in short we either 'met through friends' or 'we went to the same uni'
