DreamerGirl27
so my best friend is going through a really rough time. She has an ex who was married and was basically cheating on his wife with her. He claimed him and his wife were "separated", but he still lived with his wife and they had 2 kids. and when she would ask him to move out with her and commit to just her, he'd say he has to finish school first because he has to make more money so he can get full custody of his kids, otherwise he'd lose his kids to his wife. Is it just me, or does this sound like one big excuse? Does a married man ever leave his wife for the girl he's cheating on with? I know the answer I have been given and that is "no", but I figured I'd come to a relationship advice forum and ask all of you here.
whichwayisup
Repost this in the OW/OM section too. Your friend is being strung along. He isn't looking to leave his wife, he's just interested in an affair. He is lying to her, betraying his wife and family unit. He's full of crap! Encourage your friend to do the right thing, end it now before she gets hurt. She may love this guy, but he is married, has kids with his wife. There's no way he is going to get full custody of his kids, move in with her (your friend) and start a new life, with her as stepmom to the kids. No way!!! He's fooling her, giving her hope and soon her heart will be crushed. And yes, it's all excuses and crap.
hellyegal
A friend of mine, a Philipina who has obtained U.S. citizenship.? Can she obtain a U.S. divorce from a philipino husband, who most likely is still in the Philipines and she hasn't seen in over 6 years and marry a natrual U.S. citizen? There are no minor children involved. If so, so long as she/they stay out of the Philipines is she safe from being charged with bigamy? I read somewhere that this can happen, even though the Philipines does not allow devorce there.
