What are your valentine's day plans?

Recommended Posts

This post is appropriate for anyone here so no potshots in any direction please. For the sake of argument, lets assume that reformed OW might have plans with single men, current OW might have plans with their MM, wives whether betrayed or reconciled or former OW might have plans with their husbands, any other combination, and ANY of these women might have plans with friends or alone.

But I have always loved Valentine's Day because it's cute and fun and a chance to be with the person you love, and I will take any excuse!

We are going on a trip that includes a couples race for the weekend before and coming back Sunday. We will be taking the kids. He took the day itself off work so we get the full weekend and apparently my cousin agreed to babysit for a big date that evening that I cannot know any details about. He brought me a dress and shoes to wear a week ago that seems to imply it is formal but that's all I know.

I hope it's not dancing. I hate dancing. But I should think he knows that! Will let y'all know!

What are you doing this Valentine's day?

The evil part of me is considering shredding the card I got last year and stuffing it in a envelope and writing DAMN LIAR all over it and dropping it in the mail.

Ohhh Ohhh, fun question! :bunny:

My girlfriend and I are going shopping this weekend for some fun sexy lingerie for us to surprise our husbands. On Valentine's Day, I have reservations for two made at a very elegant Italian restaurant, where I will be wearing a yummy sexy new dress with said lingerie underneath.

Spark, I envy you! I love Andrea Boccelli.

Dinner and old school rollercasting. :D

Bent what is rollercasting? Did you mean rollerskating? If so I must warn you - I was quite the skater 20 years ago.. 2 weekends ago my son had me and my bf take him skating. Neither of us could walk for 2 days. Brutal LOL, I never felt so old in my life

If it weren't such a risky thing to give out our addresses, it would be hilarious to send the card to one person to write something pithy in it and send it onto the next person to be delivered back to you on Valentine's Day! In fact, that could be downright worth framing. :lmao:

There was one year, the one where I was separated, that my daughter and her girlfriends (all without) bfs that year, got together to have an anti-valentine's day party.

The young women confided in me how much they hated the holiday, the romantic hype of it, when you are in between relationships. I had never thought of that before.

We had a blast. We donned our finest sleepware, put on heels, made cocktails, played games and talked of our relationships, or lack thereof!

It was so much fun, I thought it could have become a tradition: The Anti-Valentine's Day women-only pajama party celebration!

I actually will dedicate the day to those who own my heart and soul. My 2 kids! It's going to be an extravaganza!!!!!!!!!! Too bad we can't post pics here.

The dude I am dating... he can get the day before. Not that important. I am more into my children than a random piece.

We are greedy and have two Valentine's Days, well one is the Welsh Saint Dwynwen's Day or in Welsh Diwrnod Santes Dwynen. It was on January 25th, she is the Patron saint of Lovers, we celebrate by sharing cards which have to be homemade and he gives me a lovespoon. I have loads of lovespoons from H which he makes himself. It isn't so much a sexy (rhywiol) day, more a celebration of love, so all things shcmoozy and tra la la.

I see Valentine's Day as more Ooh La La. I collect, as well as vintage fabric, vintage clothing which includes lingerie, they certainly knew how to make lovely things back in the day, I prefer 30's and 50's myself, so I usually source something a bit special for the day!! We prefer to stay home, have a lovely day just being together exchange cards, I usually get a charm for my bracelet and I give H a menu for the evening's meal. The dining room is made lovely, we dress as though we are off to dinner someplace lovely and after dinner we listen to all our favourite music, followed by much flirting and dancing. Our tune is Groovy Kind of Love, I am thinking I just might get the words (not all of them) tattoed on the nape of my neck, under my hair as a suprise.

I love both days .... Yay for Happy Valentine's Day part 2.

Oh Thomas if you are visiting Wales you must go to the National Museum in Cardiff, lots of really old Welsh buildings all rebuilt with furniture and stuff in a lovely surrounding. The West Coast, especially near Stackpole is beautiful. I hope you have a lovely time.

Valentines Day to me is the day I went into labor. For the last almost 22 years, that is what Valentines day means to me - the day before my son was born. Talk about a great Valentines Day gift

Not sure what my H and I will do - I have been out of town traveling for the last week (and am still out of town), and we haven't discussed plans. Quite frankly, he and I don't need a "day" to celebrate our feelings for each other - we do that daily :love:

Fooled... that's great. And how all spouses should treat each other daily!

We do... but we also use any excuse to make any old day EXTRA special for each other

Valentines for me will be for the special people in my life. First I will do something for my 15 year old daughter who's been so great!!! Probably take her to dinner and movie. I will contact my mom and tell her that I love her so much.

I will even get something for my xW who's actually been really good at co-parenting and putting aside our differences and looking out for our child.

As for the xMW....nothing. She's still a married woman;););)

Are you my xH? LMAO! jk...

My xH still sends me flowers on V-day. Last year, I actually sent the delivery back with the driver, along with the other bouquet that I am pretty sure he had in the van waiting to take to the next address down the road. Fun part is, that the card was handwritten by my xH. With something that I am sure blasted like Hiroshima 2.0 once his OW, GF whateverthefack she calls herself these days... read it. I am sure her heart must have come out her mouth. :) Of course, she will never dump him. He would never betray her, even if she reads it with her own eyes. Lame... See, not only BS

Life sure has it's ways of settling scores... MY V-day's were ruined before too. What do people expect? Flowers in return? ;) LOL! I actually hope I don't get any door ringing with the same BS (not as in myself) this year.

But this year, it's going to BE GREAT! My kids are going to faint... :):D
