What are your valentine's day plans?

Recommended Posts

Are you my xH? LMAO! jk...

My xH still sends me flowers on V-day. Last year, I actually sent the delivery back with the driver, along with the other bouquet that I am pretty sure he had in the van waiting to take to the next address down the road. Fun part is, that the card was handwritten by my xH. With something that I am sure blasted like Hiroshima 2.0 once his OW, GF whateverthefack she calls herself these days... read it. I am sure her heart must have come out her mouth. :) Of course, she will never dump him. He would never betray her, even if she reads it with her own eyes. Lame... See, not only BS

Life sure has it's ways of settling scores... MY V-day's were ruined before too. What do people expect? Flowers in return? ;) LOL! I actually hope I don't get any door ringing with the same BS (not as in myself) this year.

But this year, it's going to BE GREAT! My kids are going to faint... :):D

Mimo, I think you are awesome... and a credit to the human spirit of goodness and giving. You remind me of my wife. Just a giver. And all I can say is this...Keep on keeping on, it is the best all of us can really do! And you really will be rewarded.

The evil part of me is considering shredding the card I got last year and stuffing it in a envelope and writing DAMN LIAR all over it and dropping it in the mail.

BB07, That's EXACTLY what I want to do!! I've been journaling about what a liar my xMM was. He used to ask me "You're still gonna want me after I'm divorced, aren't you?" "You're not one of those women with intimacy issues who actually likes separated men, are you?" "It would break my heart if you left me after all this is over."

So, I've been journaling about what a back stabbing, lying, fake #ss shrew he is. Lol, much healthier than journaling about missing him or praying to God for him to come back! I'd say I've made progress.

As for Valentine's Day, I have some strong, fiesty female friends to hang out with. My day is going to be great, no tears will be shed.

Fooled... that's great. And how all spouses should treat each other daily!

Thanks Thomas! He is my sweetheart every day :):love::love::love: And I can't wait to get home to him tomorrow! Being out of town and away from him is not fun at all!!!

Please explain how messing up her xH's GF's valentine's day translates into "a credit to the human spirit of goodness and giving"?? I can understand those who hate and fear the OW publicly high-fiving each other on the OW board about this, but translating it into "goodness and giving" seems a bit of a stretch...

>>> Stands up and does the clappy dance! Yay! You have made progress!

No pity party for me either and I liked Spark's idea about an anti valentine party!

I'm thankful that I'm not imprisoned by his lies anymore.:):)

The man I am seeing is fifo (fly in, fly out) and will be working on Valentines day lol. I just checked his shift and I think he flies back on the Wednesday.

Its ok though, we talk for hours each evening when he is away and we had a lovely day out yesterday. It would be really nice to get a card or something. He is a thoughful man and last week bought me a book he wanted me to read and insisted on giving me $200 towards my phone bill which is much bigger than usual thanks to all the talking we have been doing! :)

So I reckon he will do something to mark the day. Not sure what I will do in return yet, but I want to do something nice.

I really like him. Life is good at the minute.

I cant quite believe I'm in this happy place, its such a turnaround. :)

My first Valentines Day after D-Day, I stood looking through the cards. They all said something like "You've always been such a wonderful wife..." ... and I couldn't find one that said "... well, except for year or so when you were a lying, cheating, POS..." So... I thought about buying one that was blank inside, and leaving it that way, but then I thought. What's the point? So... I called her and told her the holiday was cancelled due to lack of interest.

I think last year I may have bought her a card that just said "I love you" inside, and didn't sign it or anything, just left it on the table. She gave me a card telling me how wonderful and awesome I am and always have been. I read it and threw it away.

I think this year with the wife, I'd prefer to stick with the holiday being cancelled due to lack of interest.

As for my mOW... I can't really give her a gift as it would provide evidence of our relationship. All I can do is take her out for a nice lunch. I'll give her a card, which she'll keep in her desk at work.

Well, let's just say that I have a love/hate relationship with VDay. I used to hate it when I was single, and I've hated it since SO never acknowledges it. I used to love it when I was younger, but these days, it just makes me blue.

VDay is on Monday. I'll probably get some cards for the kids, and some chocolates for them. But otherwise, it'll be same old, same old. Bikram yoga class for me and floor hockey for SO. Woopi doo.

My boyfriend is planning something. We're going out for dinner, but I don't know where.

I'm making him heart shaped cookies and decorating them, and then we're gonna enjoy some wine and i'm gonna showcase the sexy new lingerie I got from La Senza.

gooooooooooooooooood times.

Don't think I'm getting flowers - because he surprised me with a beautiful bouquet 2 days ago :love::love:

(I'll always appreciate 'just cuz' flowers over valentines flowers any day!)

To be honest, I'm with ya - I think valentine's day is sooooo over rated.

But I think this year it means something special to me (considering all the crap that I've been through lately) - I think that's why I'm a little excited about it - usually, its no huge thing.

yeah valentine's when you're a kid is awesome, the card exchange at school, chocolates from mummy, its way more enjoyable without the dating aspect to it ;)

My sweetheart brings me a never ending bouquet of flowers - normally roses but sometimes others.

I didn't expect flowers on my birthday.

When I walked into my apartment (where I am staying with my son until we get a house)... 27 dozen roses. They were everywhere.

Though if anyone is thinking of this after a couple weeks it becomes a lot of trouble... heh. I told him 28 roses, period, would be fine next year. :D

((Anyone need a few vases?))

Here we go.... CAUSE the universe is solely for OW to go around ruining shyte for other people. Cut it out... Mind your neck here and there, will do you some goodness and maybe your measuring tape is one of those short little ones. :p

my husband is deployed again, so I will be spending the morning( after my kids are off to school) waiting to see if I get an email from him or ( with any luck) we will be able to "internet chat"

he'll be home before too much longer, so we'll celebrate valentines together then

I want to thank you and your H for such a brave act of being on the front line! Salute to the troops. Hope that chat is spicy! :)

I actually had to go back to this ridiculous mindset. Hate and fear? Pluh-lease. You are giving/taking too much credit. I think nowadays I am the one who is HATED & FEARED. After all, I am out of the misery, OW now lives in it since she wanted it so bad. So who's hating and fearing? Delight me, please.

BTW- I just got a text from my xH. "What do you want for V-day". So who's shaking in fear?

Stop generalizing and making blanket statements about everyone else's situations. Last I checked my xH wasn't with every single LS OW. So your point is?

Anyway, back to MBFW. My kids are going to be spazzing when they see who they are going to meet next Monday. YIPPIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Summer Breeze

The Valentine's Days that xMM and I were together he'd bring me a dozen roses and a card and we'd go out to dinner and have a great night. Since I ended things I come home to a dozen red roses in a vase outside my door with a card every V's Day. I always shed a tear and love the roses for as long as they last.

As far as what I'm specifically doing this year as far as going out. My BF has the night and the next day off so I'm cooking a homemade meal and we're in for a cozy night. I'm thinking far too much wine and chocolate is in order!
