impz
Fallout I knew I should have given a harder question. Too easy for pro-gamers I am now trying to persuade my wife to play the games I want to play. Her genres (RTS/Action RPG) is generally not compatible (turn-based RPG). :<
Duckduckgoose
A lot of gaming terms are the same... they kind of filter out from the stupidly popular games to the lesser known or cult games and vice versa. Most of the terms I use are probably WoW or D&D related, I also play puzzle games, RPGs, action games, side scrollers... racing...

summerdowling87
Hello. Put simply, I've always wanted to have a girlfriend that enjoys the same type of stuff that I do. I know they are out there, but are very hard to find. I'm currently working and going to college. I really enjoy the idea of having a nice girl to share my hobby of gaming and such together, not to mention someone that would enjoy talking about nerdy stuff...it's just nice to share these things together. Thing is I've tried the suggestions of giving other girls a chance. Meaning nongamer/nerdy ones. It just isn't enjoyable, things are usually one sided and we tend to have our own hobbies that the other doesn't enjoy. I understand the concept of compromising as well. I've tried that too, basically trying to ease a girl that does not typically like the things I do into it, while I do the things she likes as well..it just doesn't work out and I don't feel happy. In the end I would just be content with a girl that genuinely just enjoys these things like I do. For whatever reason I've simply never found this girl. They exist, yet I've never been able to find one that would be interested in dating me. What scares me the most was some statistics I was reading the other day. I don't really know how accurate they are but apparently after the age of 23 (aprox) most gamer girls are already either married or have a partner.. It's incredibly disheartening to hear that. I'm 24, btw. It's just hard being single and lonely and knowing that the kind of girl I would love to be with and share a happy and fun relationship for us both is just never going to come into my life. I don't really know what to do or what to believe, all I know is it feels really bad to think I'll never find "her".. At times I would blame myself. I consider if what I want in a girl is just something I can't seem to have..I just don't see why I've never found her, I know those girls are out there, I just want one in my life. Aside from that one aspect I really am not picky in any other fields (besides the OBVIOUS stuff that anyone would expect from a lover; kind, loving, etc.) Aw where have you been all my live my life I love games and I'm a self proclaimed nerd looking for my geeky bf. I am still looking for him thought:love:

Author Regal
Aw where have you been all my live my life I love games and I'm a self proclaimed nerd looking for my geeky bf. I am still looking for him thought:love: Ladies like you are quite the catch, at least for someone like me who is seeking a girl as such, you'll definitely find someone. *envious* I just hope the local geeky ladies come out of hiding soon so I can have my chance. (then again I'm rather in hiding myself)
Duckduckgoose
Start looking in people's windows, if you see a chick on a console you need to break in... I mean do some investigating. FYI, I got a gamecube a couple days ago for $20 so I can play Windwaker and Super Smash Brothers Melee again. It was one of the things that disappeared when my stbxH left... Well I think Windwaker disappeared too... lemme check.. WTF he took Windwaker AND my memory card too. Funny that I'm madder about that then him being gone

Macaw
Tbh, I don't believe finding gamer girls is difficult at all. Finding one that plays games AND is a good match for you, however, can prove to be an herculean task. I know there are exceptions to the rule, but... most gamer girls I met got addicted to receiving so much male attention that they became cheating whores. They'd flirt endlessly with other guys and often get involved in cyber or phone sex, and I've known more than just a couple of girls who got involved in real life affairs through MMORPGs. And I'm not talking about just 1, 2 or 6 girls here, I stopped counting after 20. It is definitely related to their age group, so I'd advice you to reconsider dating these girls before they're 26+ years old. I'm sure that some LS gaming gals have made a couple of female friends or acquaintances online that happen to be just like that. I used to really want a gaming girlfriend. But after being in a 5 years and a half relationship with one, I'll say that's one experience I definitely do not want to relive again.
Duckduckgoose
Whoa buddy... I never hit on guys when I was involved. I would keep my mic turned up so my husband (at the time) could hear everything that was being said by me and who I was raiding with. I would get hit on, but I never reciprocated. I made it clear from the get go that I was married. My marriage was crumbling despite all I was trying to save it, but it never gave me permission to be a slut or disloyal. I've heard a lot of horror stories, but that really doesn't apply to me. I was faithful to the bitter end. There are good gamer chicks out there, ones that don't cheat. Don't lose hope! Author Regal
Honestly, this is a semi reason why I'm rather against (though I guess not *completely*) the whole meeting gamer girls online, typically via MMORPG. It seems the girls I meet (on WoW) tend to have this sort of...attitude..now I don't mean that they just start problems or curse you out randomly attitude, but they have a sort of "I am more special than you" type of thing. Obviously not ALL are this way, but the ones I've met, even in my guild...sort of have this thing where since they are girls that play online games with guys they feel they are superior, I guess since they know they are a "rare catch" for the many gamer guys that are single and want nerdy g/fs. In the end they just act really loudly or try to focus attention to themselves, and it's...extremely irritating to say the least. I don't really say a whole lot to em, since I don't care, it's their free will...so it's no big deal, but I figure since we're on topic I'd share Again, it doesn't apply to all of em (thankfully), but it takes all kinds I suppose. Meeting someone IRL that happens to be a geeky girl is most certainly the ideal situation, that way I get to know them outside the magic click click box, and get to see how they truly are first and foremost. Likewise they get to see how I am. If only my IRL drop chance would increase!!
