wbr4p Posted February 5, 2011 Share Posted February 5, 2011 well a part of my beautification project, i need to lose like 20 lbs. i started around jan 16 and until now i lost only 5 kilos which is like 9 or 8 lbs. it doesnt look like it either. and its already feb i have not shifted from that weight, i havent lost more weight. i am not exercising that much, certainly not enough cardio or weights. should i implement that i am merely cutting back on carbs and stuff for a while. i would also like to ask if there are any vitamins i can take while dieting, so my skin and hair wont suffer.. thank u Link to post Share on other sites
Ophelia11 Posted February 6, 2011 Share Posted February 6, 2011 You have lost a lot of weight in a very short amount of time. Your body is plateauing because it thinks it is starving. You need to not so much restrict calories, but eat clean, i.e. no sugar or processed foods. Definitely start working out and lifting weights. The results will blow you away! Truane71 Posted February 6, 2011 Share Posted February 6, 2011 Here's something to keep in mind. To lose weight, you need to burn more calories than you put in! Watch what you eat. There are many healthy alternatives to snacks you may be eating now that will satisfy your hunger just as well without all the calories. Cardio exercises are the best choice for losing weight. Lifting helps too, but you will also be building muscle(although that is definitely not a bad thing!). Try jogging a few times a week. Progresively, try increasing the distance and time you spend jogging each time you go. Do not push yourself too hard or you may injure yourself. Getting in shape is about the right diet and exercise routine! Make it a habit to do these things. While now it may seem difficult, that is only because you are set in your routine.
