Dear LS friends,

What do you listen to when you work out? What psyches you up? Here are a few of my favourite (yes, I'm Canadian) beats:

Work Hard Play Hard - Tiesto featuring Kay

Spoilin for a Fight - ACDC

Everything's Gonna Be Alright - James Doman

If you're going to post YouTube links, please don't RickRoll me. Thanks.

Really though, I usually don't pay too much attention to what's playing. I don't wear ear buds because it usually just distracts me from what I'm supposed to be doing. Metal always gets me pumped. 80's hair metal is good for a laugh and a more light hearted training session. My gym refuses to play pop music of any sort, so I'm very lucky in that regard.

Training environment can be everything.

I listen to whatever is playing at the gym, which is usually Top 40 Pop. However, the song that pumps me up the most is Miley Cyrus's Party in the USA. I try to fit in as many exercises as I can in that three and a half minutes... :)

If only I could get the gym employees to turn it up whenever it came on...but to be honest, they probably would...:laugh:

Buckcherry - Crazy B*tch

Fort Minor - Remember the Name

That's the sort of stuff I listen to when lifting.

I listen to anything and everything, classical, techno, pop, everything. I think I like techno best for working out but I'm pretty happy just having music to listen to while working out.

I like hard driving music that gets my blood racing. For my cardio I make sure I have a good 45-60 minute lineup of songs that are the right speed for either the bike, the treadmill, or the elliptical so I can workout in time to the music. Some are a little slower, I up the ramp on the treadmill or increase the tension on the elliptical. For those that are a bit faster, I do the opposite.

For me I need certain music to motivate me to start working out. Once I start I could workout to silence.

The official motivate Pyro to workout song:

Great choice! Prodigy is great for working out.

I'd throw in some Rob Zombie music too. Grrrrrrrrr............
