A little help getting my relationship back on track

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone!!!

I have this gf who i have been with for about 2.5yrs now and recently we have been fighting. So we took a break and some bad stuff went down but now we are over what happened. That all happened like a couple of weeks ago.

I'm mostly just looking for some info on how my girl and I can have some fun again. I just was wondering if anybody had some interesting ideas to get our relationship back on its feet again and so that way we are really happy with each other just like the good old times. She is a wonderful girl, and we love each other to death, so I would love to hear some suggestions of what girls like from their man with my kind of situation (so a replay from girls would be needed although guys can replay as well, I will take any suggestion into consideration.)

Thanks.

Although I have not encountered problems in my new relationship I had some silmilar experiences in my past marriage.

I would say try "dating" her again. Real dates. Like pick her up for dinner and a movie AND don't end up back at your place or her place. Hold back a little bit on sex. That might help build some passion again.

Do things that you know both of you will have fun doing. My boyfriend and I like to go for drives or walking on a trail. Plus it allows time for us to communicate and laugh together.

Don't be so serious. Try not to bring work or school home with you. If you must discuss something bad about your day - agree to do it right away - within the first 10 minutes that you are together. That way your bonding time is not ruined by ill feelings that come from outside your relationship.

Also do little things for one another. I have noticed in my current relationship that since we really appreciate the things we do for one another (even getting a glass of water) we seem to have a better bond.

Do some of the things you did in the begining that were fun.

Watch a stupid movie, while cuddling on the couch, that type of stuff.

Or go for a more romantic approach, suprise her with dinner and candle light.

Give her a piece of paper. Tell her to write down 3 things she has always wanted to try...theatre, a cool place to eat, sky diving, whatever it may be. Within your financial means, try to meet the list.

This will give her the hint that you want to make all her dreams come true.

You should know the little, inexpensive things that make her happy. Like flowers, notes, compliments, whatever. Do that for her and you will have a great future.
