700miles Posted February 13, 2011 Share Posted February 13, 2011 Am I just a little too small town? I recently ended a long distance relationship with a guy who lives 700 miles away in a large city. We have agreed to maintain contact...friends only. But, did agree that we did not want to know what each other does in our "personal" (dating) lives. I've stuck to my end of the bargain...I don't ask and I don't tell. Tonight he made a point to tell me that he was going to a new club...alone. I explained that it was none of my business and I did not want to know what he was doing. (I will admit...I'm kinda jealous.) He said that he does not take his phone into clubs like that because he might lose it, and wanted me to know why he wouldn't respond if I were to text him. He then sent me a message saying that he planned to spend the night "downtown" rather than to drive back afterwards. First question: Is it a little weird for a single man to go to a club alone if he's NOT wanting to pick up someone? (his claim) In my experience, men only go out alone to pick up women. And, why would he tell me that to explain not responding to a text? And, why would he tell he AT ALL?????????? We agreed to not discuss our business. Link to post Share on other sites
