Housewarming? (VENT)

Recommended Posts

Is it just me or is it a little lame for my separeted wife to ask me to watch our son so she can enjoy her "housewarming" party? This is the house she left me to be in.

I'm not dogging the time with my son, I'm just saying....Geez!!

Let's just call it the "Let's celebrate I did the Mexican hat dance on my husband's heart" party

She should NOT have told you why she needed you to watch him. In general, you shouldn't discuss any social occasion with someone who is not invited. Here, that rule applies even more so.

I hope you have something really fun planned with your son - even if it's simple.

She'll get a new toaster.....while you get quality time with your son.

The REAL winner here is you!!!!

Funny how life works isn't it?

I read the letter you wrote to her, did you give/send it to her?

Cherish the time you get with your son, and as Arabess said, she will get a toaster and although they are shiny and new... not a lot of fun

Best wishes to you~

It is lame of her..But try to enjoy your time with your child and put her 1,000 miles out of your head. This will not be the last lame thing she does.

Yes I had a great time with my son. :) The tough part is he seems a year older every time I see him, which is only every two weeks (if she didn't move 100 miles away it would be more often, but that's another thread).

And you're right snizz, it won't be the last time, as was evidenced by our conversation this afternoon.
