jwhan42
My ex-girlfriend and I were our first loves. She lost her virginity to me and everything. Before she met me, she met a guy at a bowling alley when she was about 18 she turned 21 today. I am 21 and met her when I was 19. The guy she met at the bowling alley is 5 years older and lives in Chicago and we live in Maryland. She had an online/phone type of relationship with this guy in Chicago and after hitting it off with me, she broke it off with the LDR saying she had found happiness elsewhere (with me). I read a lot of places that Rebound Relationships usually don't last more than a month or two. But, what people never talk about is a rebound relationship that is also long distance. I feel that since it is long distance, a month or two in a real relationship must be like a year or two for a long distance. I messed up and i know 99% that this is the girl I was destined to be with. I will not get into any real details here as it would take too long, but believe me we were meant for each other. Since I was her first love, she explained to me that after being unhappy in our relationship (my fault for being immature and irresponsible) she deserves to see what else is out there. I agree, and also feel terrible that I f*cked it up. She told me a couple weeks after we broke up that there was a slight chance in the future that we could rekindle things but not anytime soon since we had been fighting and fighting as I got mad she was seeing this guy so soon after we broke up. Honestly, I do not want to give up on her, although I agree it would be helpful to move on. What advantages/disadvantages do I have here and how much longer is the "honeymoon phase" of her new relationship since it is Long Distance?
aerogurl87
Is this the girl you treated like crap because of her weight? But to answer your question this relationship could last from a few weeks to years. I was in a rebound relationship with a guy that lasted like 4 or 5 months. And if she really likes this guy, he could turn from being just a rebound to a long term partner, LDR or not.
