Ladies!! What are your reasons for dumping guys!!!???

Recommended Posts

I got dumped by my ex gf about two months ago. Altho by now I'm practically over the whole thing and she already has a new guy, it still puzzles me what her reasons were for breaking up with me.

So what I would like is to get some impressions from the ladies on what their reasons were for breaking up with her boyfriends, and did they ever regret it and if so, why?

The main reason is because they no longer float your boat.

Sometimes there aren't words for it.....just the spark is gone.

I have only ever broken it off with guys who were cheating on me. So I had no regrets.

But there are tons of reasons to break up with you a**h***s.

Like Arabess said, sometimes the spark is just gone and you realize they aren't the one for you.

If everything was going well and you were confused at the break-up - it would have been best to seek closure and ask her what the deal was... why she was breaking it off.

I think a common reason is not feeling appreciated, loved, or like a priority in a guy's life. It seems like, in my experience, in my opinion, before I get jumped on, it's very common for men to take women for granted easily (yeah yeah I know women do it too). It doesn't take much for them to get used to being treated well and not appreciating it until she's gone. Every boyfriend I've ever had has told me later he didn't appreciate me enough, didn't realize how well I treated them, how much I loved them, blah, blah, blah. Women will take crap and take more crap and then take some more and eventually they just get sick of it and walk away without looking back. And the guy is bewildered.

lied to me

alcohol abuse

drug abuse

realized we were not compatible long-term.

not in love, just having fun, got bored, decided to split.

I've been dumped because I wouldn't 'put out' and that was just fine with me because I didn't need some guy who was only interested in sex. If that's all I thought a guy was interested in I would dump him.

gave it a shot, realized that love was not developing or going to develop, called it quits and moved on

found out he was married (after the third date). it was a promising relationship (or so I thought) and we were great together-had lots in common, but the second I found out he was married I called him a few choice names and dumped him. NO regrets AT ALL in that case! :p

1. If they are liars

2. If they cheat

3. If I feel like I'm giving more than I'm receiving on a continuious basis.

4. If they are overly jealous or angry or try to treat me as a possesion.

5. If they refuse to commincate. I hate when they are feeling a certain way, it starts to affect the relationship and they STILL won't discuss it with you. I don't like playing guessing games and I'll end it if he is not mature enough to confront and discuss his own feelings.

have only broken up with one guy, and that was because he was a damned sticky booger (too clingy) and he drove me nuts. I value my independence and he valued trying to usurp it

* If He's Too Controlling. I dated a guy once who wanted to dictate who I could talk to and where I could work. BUH-BYE!!!

*If He's Too Flaky. I dated a guy for a while who didn't know what he wanted. He wanted me...he wanted to be free. He wanted me...but he wanted to date other people. So I ditched his ass and met someone new and he cried like a big baby. BUH-BYE!!!!

*If He's An Alcoholic: Need I say more?

*If He Lies.

* If He Cheats

* If He Hits Me.

BYE NOW !!!

Speaking of toilet seats and toilet paper...I know the answer to your riddle, SoulMate, but am not sure if I should post it or leave others guessing?

Cheers :)

Damn!!! I guess we gotta keep walking on the thin line. ;)

So you girls will dump a guy if he's too deep into the relationship (to clingy or needy), and also if he doesn't seem to be commited enough. That's scary...

strange you're coming up with all these reasons!

The only reason for me is: I don't love him anymore. He can be as successful, KIND, caring and good looking as he wants. If, for some strange reason, I don't love him anymore, I break up quite quickly.

I was with my last boyfriend for 5 years. He was a real a**h*** at times but there was no way I would have dumped him because he seemed to be "the one"!!

Whatever he did and trust me, he did a lot of bad stuff, I would not dump him.

that's for me!

If it is really early in a relationship like lets say a few weeks then it is usually because I don't like the guy that much. I find him ugly or stupid or boring. This is usually the type of guy I got in a relationship with because I compromised my standards in the first place and said to myself he is awfully nice so I wll try.

The long term relationship break ups are as follows

1st bf - non compromising a**hole

2nd bf- he broke up with me but it was too long distance

3rd bf- broke up because he kept threatining to break it off with me and I got sick of it.

4th bf - found out he was married liar

5th bf - mental illness, drug abuse, and lack of willingness to commit and have children

So as you see it has been not so easy to be me...
