Are you alright? Any damage? Boyfriend is fine. He was far enough inland, but the coastal area in his town is decimated

Creighton I'm happy your boyfriend is ok, and hopefully Tokyogal is too since I just heard the news about what happened in Japan.

hi everyone, thanks for the concern :)

i am home and safe. i was at work when the earthquake happened, working at the 23rd floor. it was scary but my fiance was chatting with me when it happened so at least i felt safe.

creighton, glad to hear your bf is okay. where does he live? cellphones were not working yesterday and fiance stayed up until 4am his time trying to call me.

about damage, not so much damage around my area. trains were shutdown yesterday though and resumed today, other establishments were closed. the huge damage was in sendai, with the tsunami too.

Hey. He's about 2 hours east of Tokyo, a few miles from the coast. As of last night, he was still without running water and he lost Internet today, so no communicating with him until that's restored.

I'm glad you're alright. Scary stuff. I would have been hiding under the bed shaking if that happened during my upcoming trip. Last time I felt an earthquake, it was a 3.5 and caused me to run outside and look up at the sky, thinking a comet hit the planet.
