shrop
so i have been in no contact with my ex girlfriend for just over two weeks now, i honestly thought i was getting over her when i stupidly sent her a drunken messgae on facebook and now shes blocked me and i feel like im at day one. We have been split for 5 weeks now and for the first three weeks i did the usual begging, crying and pleading but then just went cold turkey until this evening. I dont even think i want her back but seeing her block me made me gutted and i dont even now why!! any advice
SimonSerenade
Hey dude, 16 days, your doing good, I was at your point a few months a go, went no contact for a good while but wound up breaking it eventually at christmas when she bought me presents, got mixed signals is all, I begged to be taken back for a good 2 months, I didn't do too well in the beginning, I've been no contact now since early january, she broke it last week to ring me and tell me she'd lost her job amongst a few other things, she caught me of guard cause her number didn't come up but I've held strong since and not been tempted to break contact with her. I think your gutted because you felt rejected again by her blocking you and by her doing that, I can only geuss that it felt like the final boot out of her life and though you might not want her back, there'll be some left over heart break there still, your doing good dude, processing the emotions and all, you just have to keep it up and try your best to not look back, after all, she's the one who left, it's her mistake to make. Denillad
Hang in there. Just start nc again and give it your best. I did it for two years after my break up, they use u to get pass their guilt. Don't take the bait. You need to heal before u can even try this again if she came to ur door begging cause the moment she she rejects u again, u will be right were u started. Give nc your best shot. Block her by phone, Internet however necessary and begin u jorney. If u made it clear you'd like to work things out n her thoughts differ then u have to accept it and do ur best to move on with ur life.
Author shrop
i just read the message back to myself that i sent to her and it just basically wished her and her son the best and that maybe we weren't right for each other and it was time to move on with our lifes. To be honest i dont now what i expected to achieve from this. The no contact was going well, i do struggle most at the weekends and perhaps been drinking a bit too much these last few weeks. I just dont want to be at day 1 again with always checking my phone for messgaes from her because i now they are not coming!!
cboy90
136 days of NC for me. Keep it up man, it's hard at times, but when you get down on yourself, just remember all the $hit she put you through! Start going to the gym! I started to feel that once I set foot in the gym all my problems just went away. Then I since I just got my new job I went downtown to my local cigar shop, spend about $1500 on a humidor and a couple cases of cigars and sat down with some really nice people at the shop and had a cigar. You'll start to notice that once you don't care anymore and your attitude starts to change, other people notice it too. I've been getting hit on left right and center from some really attractive girls. Soon that time will come for you. Just get through it day by day.
Author shrop
today its made me feel strangely relieved that i dont have the opportunity to type her name in facebook and see her picture, which i have done quite a few times since i started no contact. I just want to look forward and start the hobbies that I hardly ever did when we were together because she has little or no friends and I felt guilty about leaving her on her own while I went fishing or to the football (my hobbies). I just feel at 29 a little lonely and old to be back living with my parents.

mr.goodguy
Shrop...I'm sort of in the same boat as you. 28, at home, kinda lonely...but the future is bright my friend! A girl broke up with me and I kept looking at her on facebook...it sucked. Finally I deleted her...she deleted you, who cares? She's gone and done. I think you really need to ask yourself: if I don't get this person back in my life will I die? No! It's hard, but with practice, train yourself to let go when a relationship ends. There are a ton of women out there..too many to be obsessed with someone that ended a relationship. Keep you chin up, smile, break out of your comfort zone and experience life. It'll drive them crazy if you bump into them to learn what they're missing out. if you want to meet new people...there's a site called meetup.com. Check out group of people in your area that enjoy similar hobbies. Bottom line...we are only responsible for ourselves so dont let yourself fall apart. I mean your ultimate happiness resides inside you...be happy, confidence, fun and a woman will feel privileged to be with you in the future.
