snug.bunny
The Lovely Bones? I recently watched this movie and it's been haunting me for a couple weeks now. I've watched it twice and both times I just ball my eyes out. The Lovely Bones was very sad due to the nature of the movie, obviously. However, the way it was narrated, the music, and the artistic imagery made it so beautiful at the same time in a way that portrays life, death, and the after life as equally precious. I suppose is why I posted this is the "Spirituality" section... For those who have seen it, how did you feel about the movie overall and did it resonate within you in some profound way? ShatteredReality
I thought it was sad...but it didn't "resonate" with me quite the way that it did with you. There were a lot of parts that I didn't feel fit together all that well...but that could just be me. I thought the acting was pretty well done for the most part and the story line was not bad either. Ultimately, the way they handled the "bad guy" seemed somewhat forced. He "got what was coming to him", sure, but it seemed like they just kind of tossed that in there to please the crowd. I may have been spoiled by other movies like this one, though, that came out before it. Did you ever see Stir of Echoes? That one stuck with me for a long time - because it was just way too eerie....there are parts of it that still bother me. It's just my opinion, though, could just be that these types of movies aren't my "cup of tea" so to speak.
