Worried About Husband

Recommended Posts

My husband recently told me that he has been having testicle pain for quite a few months now. He says that it has gone from being a few times a month to once or twice a week, and that the pains are so sharp that when they come he can hardly move. I am so worried about him, I am trying hard to convince him to go to the doctor but he won't. We don't have health insurance and I have recently found myself unemployed so we are low on money. We are young a just starting out so we don't have much. He says we just don't have the money and it isn't worth it. Is there anything I can do for him now to ease this pain while I try to figure out a way to get the money?

He could have an infection or something more serious going on, even though there's not alot of money he needs to go have it checked out. BORROW the money if need be. Seriously!

Just stay away from google, last thing you need to do is google symptoms as it'll just make you and him feel anxious.

He is scared and thats why he isn't going to go to the Dr. All I can say is, gently remind him that his health is important to you and that you want him around for a long time!

My h had an accident on a bike when he was a kid and it hurt one of his testicles. He feels pain sometimes where he has to take an Aleve and lay down. His doctor sent him for an ultrasound but they found nothing wrong. Your hubby should definitely get it checked out just to ease his mind that everything is okay. He may try a very warm bath as that helps my husband. Good luck.

I genuinely feel that this is not something that can be waited on . . . I hope it is nothing serious, but testicular and or prostate issues (even cancer) can be a real possibility for men of all ages. I wouldn't delay visiting a urologist at all regarding this.

I wish I could say otherwise, but I feel I would be giving bad advice if I did that.

Thank you everyone for the advice. I am scared, I really am. This isn't a normal thing for a 24 year old guy to go through as far as I know. But he is being so stubborn! Yes, we are struggling badly enough that we didn't have enough money for enough groceries between paychecks. He won't go until we can get the money no matter how much I beg. We are gonna try to sell the car, I am trying to convince him to use some of that to see a doctor.
