I felt like a Princess today

Recommended Posts

I went wedding dress shopping. I was thinking that it was a bit early considering that the wedding isn't until next June. Some of the ladies at the shop said that it isn't to early they have already sold dresses for weddings in 2006. wow. Anyway tring on those dresses I felt like a princess, even in the plain syle of dress that I want. Naturally being the typical woman that I am, the dress that I liked the most is about 3 times more then what I want to spend. Typical eh! Maybe I'll just skip the wedding and stay engaged so I can just keep tring on dresses. That'll be fun.

I got my fiancee with an April Fools joke. I told him that the backyard wedding is cancelled and I booked a tour boat for the wedding. I told him that it was going to be half the cost and they were going to do every thing so we didn't have to. I also told him that I had to book it at the time b/c the dates are usually filled 1 1/2 years in advance. The look on his face was priceless. All he said in a little boy voice was "But I don't want to get married on a boat." I just kept telling him it was going to be so much cheaper and alot less hassel. He just kept saying But I don't want to get married on a boat. I guess it's one of those things that you have to be there. It was priceless.

I bet wedding dress shopping is heaps of fun you lucky thing...enjoy it...but don't blow the budget too much! ;)

Good April Fool's joke. I told my guy that I no longer wanted to quit my job and travel around Australia with him next year...that I thought I just wasn't into the trip at all. His face simply dropped...but then I smiled..dammit! I just couldn't keep a straight face. :p

I'll do my best Arabess. I tried one on last week at a dress shop in town. It was faboulous, it is half price but also 2 sizes to small. But there is enough allowance in the seams that about 1 1/2 inches can be let out and I have 15 months to lose the 20 lbs that want. The only thing is b/c it's last years sytle I can find a pic anywhere. It is ivory with an empire waist chafon (sp -sheer) overlay with long flowy sheer sleeves that go from the top of the shoulder and billow down to about knee length then come back up and bussel at the back with rosettes. Gorgous it maybe the one. I'm going back in tommorrow with my step daughter to have another look.

Since I seen the dress that I described above I've been to 8 bridal shops and have tried on dozens of dresses. I went in yesterday and put a deposit on the first one I seen which is the one I mentioned above. It is a wonderful dress, 1/2 price and a little to small which is giving me more insentive to lose that 20 lbs.
