EyesWideOpen
Stepped on the scale for the first time since probably Christmas. Up eight pounds...ten total for the entire winter. *sigh* It seems like I always get to a good weight, slack off, gain a bit back, then get disgested with myself and get motivated, get to a good weight, slack off, gain a bit back, then get..... I'd love to just break the cycle and stay consistent for once.

tman666
Me. HAH! I'm more of a summer girl I guess. When it gets cold oustide, I stay indoors. I hear you. I'm more of a hot weather guy myself. BTW, I've found that the key to sticking with something is to develop a passion for it. It's why I've never been a long distance runner. Every time I've told myself that I'm going to run more, I generally end up forgetting to do it after a couple of weeks. I just don't get that much enjoyment from it. Find something physical that you like to do. For me, cross country skiing, lifting heavy weights (light weights for high reps usually feel like a waste of time for me), various "strongman" activities (tire flips, caber toss, car pushes, etc.), martial arts, snowboarding, and backpacking are the activities that I actually have fun with. It's much easier to do something, stick with it, and have the drive to progress if you're focusing on what you enjoy, rather than what someone else says you're "supposed" to do.
