The ex usually does come back, don't they?

While we're on the topic, what makes it so much easier to get over the ex the second time around? I once had an ex (not my current ex) who I took back for another go around and we ended up breaking up again less than a month later. And for some reason it was so much easier getting over him that time.

Is it easier the second time around because we can see much more clearly that this person isn't right for us?

I think so. I just know that I had been unhappy towards the end of my second round... there would be times when I was with him where I thought, "This isn't going to last."

It's like I was in the relationship to get what I didn't the first time.. if that makes sense. I got what I wanted.. I got what I knew was in him and what I felt I deserved. He actually tried and we did make it work for nearly a year. Then once it turned sour, I remember why we ended the first time and felt like... I could live without him. It's really weird because though we dated for so long, I was able to get over him faster than the first time around. But I believe it's all circumstantial in how you felt during the relationship. I knew I was unhappy. Once I was out, I realized how truly unhappy I was and that I was dating an emotionally dead, emotionally abuse, ****head.

Some do, the ones you don't want anything with them... ha ha!

Really, isn't a moot point?

wow i had no idea so many exes come back!

i was dumped almost 7 months ago and he has yet to come back...but i am still in love with him. im thinking of maybe contacting him when i get back home. i feel like even though i was dumped, if i ask him and try and he says no at least i know i would have tried my best. when he dumped me the first time he was 'confused' and i was too broken to even say anything.
