Author cliona23
Well, I'm logging for the night and tomorrow it's back to work, so I'm unofficially closing the thread. I appreciate all the input and creative suggestions. This seems to be a very friendly and welcoming community and I will come back here if I feel the need to post again (I very rarely post anything). I likely won't be back to check posts any time soon. Thanks again to all who contributed! I got a lot of great ideas!
Lorelei_Lane
I don't care.... I was stating some things you should be prepared for by not being married. You seem to be the one posting here with the problem searching for a silly name. For the poster mentioning Goldie Hawn & Kurt Russel, they had very little financial worries and already were divorced with children when they met. May as well include Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie before someone else does. So as said this is so ludicrous a topic and discussion. He is your "life partner" (you hope) and the father of your child...... Who really cares what you call him (Partner, Dick, Sperm Donor, Love of my life, one and only, guy I shack up with, soulmate......) and why do YOU HAVE A PROBLEM??????? This is such a stoopid thread...... I was the one that mentioned those two, they also had a child together, did you know that? So yes, while they had the children from previous marriages, they also had a child together, are you going to say that they were stupid for not getting married for that child's sake? No, probably not. The OP never said anything about financial worries or anything like that. You are being inflammatory for no reason what-so-ever. The OP also said that they had all their legal documentation regarding child and medical things taken care of. They have no reason to worry about not being married. You don't HAVE to be married these days to have power of attorney, wills, etc. They are legal contracts that don't care if you are married to the person or not. The OP said they have a home together and such, it seems they are doing just fine without being married. Also, the OP can post whatever question they want to. You can also not read it. You don't read all the threads here and post on here, so why did you need to come on here and be judgmental? Go be hateful somewhere else, for crying out loud. You need to relax. I don't know what your problem with people choosing not to be married is, but you really need to get over it. Cliona, I'm glad you found the environment here very friendly. Although I know I let the nasty person get to me, I'm glad to see you didn't. It's rather refreshing
