I was friends with this girl about 5 years ago, she moved away with her boyfriend who she has been with for 4 years now. In the last 2 years we have been pretty close because we got pregnant at the same time, we were only 1 week apart in our pregnancies. She was starting to have problems with her boyfriend (or fiance, forget) He was going out all the time, not helping to prepare for their baby. Then right after they had their baby he was never home, went out and partied all the time, started cheating on her, then he started acting like a total jerk to her, they fought all the time. She broke it off in November after she was finally tired of being cheated on. He started acting all nice to her and sucked her back into the relationship probably 2-3 weeks later. He then started going out again partying cheating on her AGAIN, so she broke it off again. Then he started acting all sweet to her, taking her out, getting family pictures done etc. Then they got back together a couple days ago, he was telling her how much he loved her and misses her, but then he broke it off with her a DAY LATER because she was getting a tattoo and said "go find another boyfriend to deal with all your ink ****" she is all sorts of emotions, sometimes she is just totally done with him, and some days she misses him. why do you think he keeps doing this to her? I think its "having his cake and eating it too" but it's going to far. and I have been trying to be as supportive as I can to her, but... I really don't know what else to do. If he knows he can be immature and treat her that way, and she will tolerate it, he is on cloud nine right now. He has his girl at home waiting for him, and he can go out, have fun, and have sex with whomever he wants whenever he wants. if your girl puts up with that, you got it made. Why does she put up with it? because he knows she NEEDS this relationship more than he does. She wants a family and he kinda does, but not right now. I can only assume she got pregnant on purpose and he got pregnant accidentally. he also runs into women at the club, but they are all letdowns, so he goes back home to the good one. he will keep doing it as long as she lets him.
