Author Ginger Beer
She doesn't live in my city, when we see each other it has to be planned. Think I said on page 1. I'm speaking to her atm, I haven't pushed her into anything, she has said she wants me more than friends, so I guess things are looking up. Just waiting for someone to point out where I've made mistakes.
Hopeless Girl
look just talk like mature adults. No BS. Dont sell her fairy tales. Talk straight to her as if your watching out for you. Don't say "oh baby i missed you so i promise is gonna be better now (if you do get back together). Be like looK I CARE FOR YOU and i would love to try it again but im not here to play games.. Just be true to yourself. Shell see the confident person your are. If she acts to get attention dont give her the pleasure of the attention. ACT CONFIDENT. IM PROBABLY SPEAKING TO BRAD PITT RIGHT NOW AND I DONT EVEN KNOW IT. YOU JUST BE YOU AND UR CONFIDENT SELF. ENJOY LIFE FOR U!

Author Ginger Beer
Well last update for today. The current situation is good. She wants me back, she said she didn't mean to come across all confusing and that she made a massive mistake ending it with me. We have spoke tonight and she initiated it. I ended the texting and she seems like she is her old self, not as full-on, but she seems like she is showing she wants me. She said she didn't want to force me, she seems quite shy, as if she's worried I don't want her back. At some point we will have to talk about what went wrong the last time. Some of my posts in here are so knee-jerk, but that's how I feel and when I feel like I need to release my feelings, I use this thread. Sorry about that, haha. I didn't ever, ever think this would happen, to be honest. I thought she was gone forever, I even accepted it and went into NC for it. Thanks for everyone's replies and advice. I try to keep my posts reasonably short on here as I have a very short attention-span so don't want others who may be the same to be intimidated by the length, haha.

El_Enamorado
Most of the time, because they want to explore new things in life. Esque se cansaron de nosotros. We aint good enough for them anymore. Just like my ex gf =). She left me to go where the grass is greener.

1784
If I've ever asked for a break from a girl it's never been to see what else is out there. If I wanted to see what else was out there I'd just break up with her for good because I knew she wasn't 'it. when I have asked for a break it's been when things had gotten way too complicated, nothing seemed to have been getting solved and I thought we needed distance from it and each other. Sometimes time and space can work wonders. You take that 'thing' out of focus for a while and it seems to get smaller. When you come back it's a more manageable size and you can get past it. At least that's what I think breaks are about. Not looking for someone else. That's not fair to the other person. Then again, people aren't always fair.
smudge21
Ginger, good to see things may be moving forward but please take it slowly and go in with your eyes open - no rose tinted glasses either. She's left you once, she could do it again. Trust is now something that you have to work on, but be honest with her from the off and tell her how you feel about it all. Don't push her away, but in the same sense don't bring her too close. I would so love to receive something similar from my ex but I doubt that will happen. Seriously I truly hope it works out for you.
Fufu
I'm happy for you Ginger, do work things out with her when both of you are ready to talk and listen to each other
Author Ginger Beer
Thanks guys, really appreciate it. Just a couple questions if anyone can answer them; what is the best way to be right now? Still distant? It's just that I've never had this happen before so obviously don't want to spoil anything. Avoid talk of last time? Don't be too affectionate? Let her initiate contact? What is the standard procedure for the first few months of a second chance?
