josie54
i thought you all were going to stop feeding him. Point taken. I will do my very best to ignore these posts from now on. I'm not sure why that's so hard to do, but I will!
Cerpin_Taxt
Point taken. I will do my very best to ignore these posts from now on. I'm not sure why that's so hard to do, but I will! I always try to ignore these kinds of post, but it can be very hard to not mess with them back. Sometimes I think we should take the opposite approach to trolls. Instead of trying to starve them out, maybe we should feed them until they explode. Might be fun.

It gets a whole lot easier if you use the ignore button. I read troll posts, but most times, I just let them get it out of their system. In the end, the Mod shuts it down (you should check out this troll's threads and see how many have been closed...! jeesh! I suspect this one will go the same way.) I do marvel however, at how many people actually do try to engage and continue a conversation with them, even though a gadgillion posts point out the futility of trying to reason with a troll.... Damn! Where are the Three Billy-Goats Gruff when you need 'em....?
NoMagicBullet
I'm still fairly new here, so please forgive me for asking, but what is this "normal knowledge" thing? I've never heard of the phrase "normal knowledge". Or is this a translation from another language into English? Are we talking about "common sense"?
TaraMaiden
Your guess is as good as anyone's. We still don't know either... Unfortunately, the OP believes he doesn't have one, and clearly isn't blessed with the other.....

TaraMaiden
Urban dictionary. A dictionary which is contributed to by members of the public/web-watchers. It's therefore an invented term. Even the dictionary throws doubt on its credibility by referring to it as 'mysterious'. the whole point of a mystery, is that - nobody really knows anything about it. it seems our troll has found fame. Or notoriety. That really is turning the troll into a behemoth of a glutton for attention. Pathetic.

TaraMaiden
He's only strong insofar as people feed him. If you stop feeding something, it dies. if people stopped feeding him, he would have no ammunition to keep being an idiot.
Cerpin_Taxt
I like fish.
TaraMaiden
what cooked? I'm a vegetarian, but I eat some fish because I need some animal protein in small quantities, due to a blood/liver condition.... However, I also keep Koi carp. I used to have one that won prizes it was so beautiful.....I sold it for nearly £600 when I moved.... It still lives in luxury and is still winning prizes, I hear!
TaraMaiden
I used to keep snakes too, but my partner is phobic about them, so out of respect for him, I decided to forego that hobby. But my local vet still calls me now and then for a "second opinion" if someone brings a snake in to him, for any reason. My study of herpetology has stood me in good stead, and I've helped him out a couple of times, to good advantage. Unfortunately, an awful lot of people buy snakes for the prestige and reputation they think it gives them, rather like young lads and bull terriers.... As a dog behaviourist, that really gets me a bit riled.

When you come over, I'm making chicken.

I've moved to a mostly vegetarian diet, but I still eat fish. It's just too difficult to find veg meals when I go out, but fish is easy. Well I guess I eat hot dogs too because there's this awesome hot dog bar in Tacoma and I'm completely addicted to them. And their beer. I'm strictly vegetarian at home. When you come over, I'm making chicken. I wouldn't dream of taking the thread off-topic But in answer to your question - I'm far from keen on it. I've been doing this for 20 years, and I have never come across the need to poke a dog with stiffened fingers, nor force them down into a position of submission. Furthermore, bringing a collar so far up a dog's neck, so that it resembles a hangman's noose - is both cruel and completely unnecessary.

TaraMaiden
The weather here, this Easter Saturday, is utterly glorious. It's very warm, we have a cloudless sky, and the grass is mown. We can sit under my willow tree, sip ice-cold Chardonnay or home-made sparkling elderflower cordial, (I'm also counting on Cerpin's home brew!) and feast on good food. We can watch the tiny, newly-formed baby frogs sitting in the shade, listen to the drone of honey bees working in my garden, and watch the chaffinches as they build their nest. Who's in....? cerridwen
Wow, TM, you just painted a glorious picture! Count me in please. I can't contribute much by way of recipes. HOWEVER! I am authorized to drink copious amounts of Chardonnay. Let me just go shower. Cerpin, I'm in Silicon Valley so we can carpool to the UK.
TaraMaiden
*off topic again!* cerridwen, was my answer regarding the dog whisperer of any interest? Are you perchance of Welsh extract....? (it's the name....)
