Eve
Please share with me in my pride that my formerly unruly child has passed ALL the exams she needs to go to College to start on the path of being a Nurse and has found her core happiness again. She has passed her exams well, well, well before the time limit of finishing her statutory schooling. She booked herself onto a course for College this September and has worked hard to achieve the qualifications needed. Thankfully her school runs a program where kids get two, even three shots to pass exams and today she has gained all the qualifications needed to move on. She has done it! A couple of years ago I actually contemplated throwing myself into our local river and ending it all because I could not believe she had become so bad. Nearly broke my heart. I Thank God for leading me so strongly through this period and for helping me to help her focus and achieve and be the best she can be. Note to parents in a similar situation. Please, please, please don't give up on your child. Take care, Eve x
donnamaybe
Oh, congratulations on the happiness and RELIEF you're feeling right now! I have a VERY intelligent son who has been SO lackadaisical about doing homework. Last quarter, however, he got a 3.389 GPA so has an honor roll certificate. He's a junior, so he needs to keep this up until graduation day if he wants to get into any decent kind of college. Fortunately, he's never been any kind of behavior problem with the powers that be. Nope - never gave up on him. Just had to really keep him focused and on track.

A* - ungraded. Well done you for being a strong Mama! I became weak. My eldest girl (perfect child of all perfect children) is SO last minute that it is not even funny. Second year into University she has finally decided not to be so last minute after having five assignments due at the same time. I don't think she slept much for something wild like three days and so has finally learned her lesson. Still achieved distinctions though, lol. Really glad that your boy is achieving Donna ..
