TapiocaDexterin Posted April 17, 2011 Share Posted April 17, 2011 The ex and I dated for a year and a half - I broke up with him almost 2 years ago because he cheated on me. During our relationship he and I and my flatmate at the time (who is my best friend) spent alot of time together. They got along really well, have lots of common interests etc. I was devastated after the breakup and found it hard to deal with. Fast forward to now. My friend told me my ex had asked her to meet for a coffee to discuss working on a project together (not a work project, a casual creative project.) I was annoyed and told her i couldnt believe he would approach her about this. She said she wanted to see how i felt about it and if i thought it was weird she wouldnt follow it up. She didnt really want to discuss it, told me not to dwell on it and was keen to change the subject. I specifically asked her if he had contacted her to ask her and she said they had discussed it while I was going out with him (which i was aware of) and he was now wondering if she was still up for it. I also asked if they had already met up and she said no. I was suspicious about this so I had a look on her blog where they were in contact about this. it was actually her who offered to help him with the project. The next day i talked to her about it again and she was really defensive and short with me, siad it wasnt even worth discussing, that she wouldnt follow it up and kept changing the subject. She was so anxious to NOT talk about it and was so defensive that I suspect they have been meeting up already . I am quite upset about this, not least beacuse I feel betrayed by her for being in contact with him but also about her lying to me. I dont know what to do. Any ideas? I dont want to ruin a good friendship if I'm wrong but I dont want to continue being deceived Link to post Share on other sites
