irc333
I think, lately with online dating, one wind up eventually reaching full circle with realizing there's a limited # of people associated with these sites. Of course, you'll see one pop up once in a while. (Small town, there is probably just a page of active members, maybe less) With a couple that are out-of-towners moving here. Anyhow, I was thinking about this when I saw this rather attractive woman's thumbnail pic that popped up 10 miles from me (or less). Pretty hot, too.....nice variety of pics, one nice, well-posed shot of her at the beach in a bikini (average face, but nice petite figure). I clicked on the profile to get a closer look. Yep, I recognized her from years ago. Actually knew her from real life, too. Knew her through some friends or something. Hadn't seen her in person in ages. I think I emailed her through some other paid dating site when I tried a month at it, but I don't she was into me. Then saw her pop up today. I'm like "crap, have I seen everyone I could've seen already....have we reached full circle and now there's just us leftovers?" lol When I see people that I haven't talked to in ages, I sometimes try to take a stab at it again, see if they bite. But, I wonder if single people are starting to see the same people, and figure, "Crap, this guy again?!" There was actually a profile of a woman complaining how she's been seeing the same people over and over, and just decided to quit the site. Though, I wonder if it's due to some people being overly picky, but if you come to realize your options are limited....esp geographically, can you afford to be overly picky? Like if you're in New York City, there are tons of options, people probably have many options to choose from based soley on a high concentration of single people. But when you get to sparse areas, then what? The same 20 people that pop up on your first page in your search results, are some of those people starting to look pretty good?
