Audacia
What music helped you after D-day? Specific artists or songs? I can't recall how many times I got in my car, put the new Adelle 21 album on and cranked it riding around aimlessly. Oh and Alanis Morisette's Not As We.
freestyle
Well, for me love songs were completely out of the question--way too triggering. I had to go with instrumental music, either classical, or 70's instrumental prog--music for the intellect more than the heart, IMO.My heart needed to be numb for a long time...........It was the only way I could continue functioning in a practical manner. Looking back, I know I was rug-sweeping my own pain. Maybe it wasn't healthy---but my heart was emotional sushi---raw and chopped up into small pieces.......
