Trippy and very different way of looking at the world

I actually came to a similar conclusion a while back.

We are all one. Everyone of us...is just us.

Or put another way..

The only reason I am not you...is because I am not you. If I were you...then I'd be you. And similarly, the only reason you are not me...is because you aren't me. And ironically...that makes us one. Because..even though I don't know you..and you don't know me...I know what I need to know about you...enough to know exactly who you are.

Or maybe put another way..

whenever anyone tells you anything...THEY aren't telling you anything...you are hearing what you think they are telling you. But the funny thing is...you have the ability to think what you want to think...so in essence you have the ability to control what they are telling you.

For example...a person tells you..."you annoy me.." You can let this mean whatever you want it to mean..and act accordingly. Or.. switching it up...when you tell someone else "you annoy me" what exactly do you mean? if you examine it enough...the conclusions can be shocking.

It's complicated..but the conclusions are obvious.

I've also been made aware of similar philosophies but I've never heard the Egg before.

Like many people I'm a Jonathan Livingston Seagull fan.

There are even references in some philosophies to the spirit, (the holy spirit), being that singularity that I find fascinating.

There is the comparison too of the single, individual drop of water returning to the vast ocean in which it is absorbed & becomes one with, & the the spirit that is within.

Thanks for the link.

xisnots; I like your take on this too.

All good stuff.

There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio, Than are dreamt of in your philosophy.
