jmm
My mother is 60..recently went for blood work and urine and they found blood in her urine. They did another test and found it again so he ordered a urine culture. Her stool came out fine and she isn't diabetic. He said there is still bacteria and it isn't a UTI (weird--i thought if it is bacteria then it is a UTI). He said he wants to do a sonogram on the bladder and kidneys to close the case on it. He said it could go away on its own but its better to know. A friend of mine who is a nurse said he should be able to tell from the urine culture what type of bacteria and probably is just asking for more tests and using the insurance. She has a dropped bladder and also has been passing ALOT more gas and almost in a way where it sounds like it is even hard to do. She mentioned the other night a swollen stomach to my friend (the nurse). Now i am reading online these are signs of ovarian cancer. i am pretty much at the point of tears. She hasnt gone for a pap smear in a few years. I am very nervous it is bad news. She is going for one next week. Wouldn't there have been other problems with the blood work if something was wrong? I feel so scared. My whole world will end if she has it and i really keep reading those are signs of ovarian cancer. The passing gas has been going on for probably a year now. Even my father said this isn't you. You never had this problem before.
