ImageofLove Posted May 8, 2011 Share Posted May 8, 2011 Hi all, Would you marry someone who has said all along that he wants to marry you but never proposed and he finally unwillingly admits (after 1 1/2 yrs) that he had doubts about marriage due to our fighting about him not proposing and me trying to find out why! He now says he has no doubts whatsoever and has looked at diamonds and wants to propose soon but I feel this is also due to me bringing the topic up again. I am 32 and he is 38. We have been together for 4 1/2 years. Lived together for 2 yrs. I'm really confused and not sure it's a good idea to marry someone who has had doubts in the past. I'm not sure if I have unrealistic expectations by thinking that a proposal should come naturally? What I find really annoying is when people can't just tell you the truth and reasons why when you ask them!! Now I feel like he has lied to me everytime we have discussed marriage.
