I'm upstairs, he's downstairs -- and this is just so weird!

When I got home today from work I just said hello back to him and went straight upstairs to our family room. He looked so very sad when he said hello first. But I stayed strong and didn't say another word.

He's the one who wants to break up so his sadness is his issue. He was very firm in stating it is over so that's that.

I've been in LC-mode since Friday. We live in the same house so we must speak sometimes. I told him I will only be speaking to him about business matters. He said he really wanted to be friends and I said it would never happen. He didn't accept this answer saying that I would in time. But I was pretty firm in my resolve.

I am not sure why I am posting except to say this is so hard.

We are putting the house in the market in a week but it could take a while to sell.

I feel so strange sitting a floor away from him all alone. And I'm mad that he no longer seems sad and is laughing at some TV show. (I can hear him, it is a small house.)

I know this will end but it is no fun...I feel so spent and sad.
