Selfabuse question

Recommended Posts

Say you feel really miserable. I'm talking the kind of miserable where you think you wouldn't feel worse if you banged your head against a wall and only don't do it because you don't have the energy to walk 2 meters to that wall.

If in that state of mind you decide to experiment with something that you think might make you feel better, would it be worse for you to actually experience some relief despite the risk of addiction or would it be worse to feel nothing and be one illusion poorer?

Are you talking about cutting by any chance?

You sound depressed enough to enter therapy, and maybe even

start some med's to balance out your chemistry, coupled with talk

therapy to find the source of your discontent before you enter any

form of self abuse that might plunge you into an even deeper despair.

No, was talking about chemicals.

Don't worry, had a bad night and a couple too many drinks, nothing a good night sleep couldn't fix. It was nothing but a hypothetical question.
