Mrlonelyone
http://www.symmetrymagazine.org/breaking/2011/05/13/new-movie-with-far-fetched-%E2%80%9Cbig-bang%E2%80%9D-scenario-released-today/ Picture this: The abandoned underground tunnels for what would have been the world’s largest particle accelerator get taken over by a billionaire/physicist duo that plans to recreate the Big Bang and bring about the end of the world as we know it. You all sound like reasonable people. Let me ask you all after seeing a movie like this is this what most people think of scientist such as me? That on some level we could be so malignant and malevolent?
spiderowl
I would just treat it as fiction and bearing little relationship to real life.
thehead
In my book scientists are innocuous and largely helpful. Malevolent and malignant? No.
carhill
I want to hear that energy and matter are interchangeable This does not look like a particle-physics obsessed waitress I tend to look at movies, and their content, as strictly entertainment, and view scientists as those who help us evolve and discover what we already knew. Dust
I kind of dislike scientist. I mean as a child I thought the world was flat, then when I got older I learned the world is round. I learned that if you measure the shadow in one place and then you measure a shadow of an identical object in another place many miles away the shadows will be different at the same time of day. Meaning you can use this difference to show the world is round. (plus many other things that most people don’t understand) I barely understand science yet I feel I understand it better then most scientist. I also feel I can better apply science then most engineers. I have a love hate relationship with science and scientist. articles and movies about science are always so quacky. I love science fiction though.
