What do you think is this ex's psychology?

This happened about 1.5 years ago. An LDR ex broke up with me via the email. I never contacted him or replied to his email, which didn't really have anything for me to reply since he has decided on the breakup though he said it wasn't that he didn't love me but he couldn't deal with the distance.

I've got over it by now but I'm still curious as to whether a dumper using such a communication mode would expect a reply and whether he might be curious as to why I never begged for him to come back into my life.

Anyone can shed some light on this ex's psychology?

I probably would expect a reply. But it's 1.5 years ago now. Whether or not you want to reply is your choice. Just make sure you're doing it on the premise of goodwill, and not trying to play any mindgames.

If you don't get a reply, how would you feel and what would you think?

No, I won't play games because I don't care about it anymore. I'm just curious.

You did the absolute right thing by not replying even if its expected.

He broke up with you, what are you suppose to do,be like the rest of us who made the mistake of begging.

The fact that you didnt reply speaks volumes, and its not about playing games. someone broke up with me via e-mail,which isnt new, heyell no I wouldnt reply. As I said what for?

You have just commenced NC,the very act everyone in these forums advocate.

Besides,If he changed his mind or expected you to reply believe me you would have heard from him. I'm just saying.

Yep. I want him to wonder why I didn't reply or beg. Anyway, it's been 1.5 years. Just wanted to hear from others what he might feel. :)

Are you sure you're over him? I mean why does it matter what he thought or is thinking 1.5 years later? My best guess would be that he was relieved to end your relationship without any major drama, and obviously never hearing from you didn't bother him much.

Why are you so concerned about his mind 1.5 years after the fact? That's energy you should be spending on yourself. You'll never figure him out. But you can figure yourself out.

Stop wondering about the ex. It's just such a useless waste of your time. Focus on you, and you alone. You'll find your answers then. You should be asking yourself how do YOU feel about it?

First i commend you on not replying you are very strong for that and if this was a year ago i would never be able to do that to my ex but i have built that strength now but its good to see you already have that. Secondly who cares. exes belong in the past while they do pop up in the mind let them stay as a memory im sure you he thinks about you as well and wonders what your up to but if you get in contact it would probably not be a good idea. so continue to move on and grow

Thanks for all your replies. I'm feeling good. I was chatting with a few friends the other day and this came up, therefore this thread. Chill.

I probably should have elaborated why I'm asking this after so long. :p It arose from a chit chat, not because I'm suicidal.
