Do you think visiting prostitutes (paid sex) is wrong?

Seems like you have absolutely no clue when it comes to women. I live near RLD and according to statistics over 90% of the women 'working' there, is working there under some sort of pressure. It's not a joke, you can really make up all the excuses in the world for yourself, but these are just statistics.

I'ts true that some women are what you call 'golddiggers', but it's not in the nature of a woman to want to have sex with men they dont know. Women actually produce some kind of enforphin while having sex, but only with a guy she has regular sex with. Also for women the parts of her brains that control 'sexemotions' are in the same parts of the brain as the parts that control 'loveemotions', for (most) women these to things go hand in hand. This is also the reason that some women think (espacially young women) that sex gives love, or at least that when a guy has sex with you that he must love-care for you.

The truth is somewhere in between your and musemaj's positions. In some regions (particularly Europe and Middle East), many prostitutes are essentially slaves that were illegally trafficked from other countries. In North America, the situation is a bit different. While you also have prostitutes who are pressured into the trade by their pimps, there are also prostitutes that do it for the easy money out of their own volition. This is particularly of the more "upscale" prostitutes (a.k.a. escorts).

Then, of course, you've got the porn industry, which is essentially the same thing as prostitution. No one gets forced to work in the porn industry and judging by how much is out there, there is no shortage of volunteers...

Excuse me? That's a very bold statement. Do you have any grounds to back that up?

What do you think my sex and women philosophy is?

"Definitely. No offense but women think they are much more valuable than they really are.

If sex was easier to get, women would lose one of their main bargaining tools. Wife withholding sex. Just go get a cheap hooker who would do things your wife doesn't do anymore.

Not everyone can get free pussy.

I've been trying for so long it's just getting tiring."

you say you've never been in a relationship, mostly because girls think they're "too good" for you, right? Could it not be that your motives are so transparent they don't want to be with you? Also, if you've been looking for a relationship, I'm assuming you're looking for an honest girl to spend time with, not just someone to f*ck, right? That's another problem right there. You sleep with hookers. That is pathetic and disgusting and the likeliness of you meeting a decent girl willing to accept that kind of baggage is pretty low. If women are less valuable than they think they are, why are you sounding so desperate to find one? It sounds to me you're talking out of anger.

Sex is not something we need, like food and air. You keep saying "Men need sex, men need that, men need this..", but you aren't looking out for the well being of the woman. If you want to say that hormones are raging through your body right now, causing every man on this planet to need sex, then let's talk scientifically. Women use sex as a way to feel close to their partner. We are much more open and in touch with our emotions than men are, and as I've said before, sex is a very powerful tool that you men can use against us just as easy as we can use it against you. As far as the women go who "choose" prostitution, they have lost the ability to associate sex with emotion and have developed deeply repressed feelings. Women feel a strong need to be seen as sexually attractive to men, so when all men want is sex, women decide to throw away a part of themselves to please.

Bottom line, it works both ways. You feel entitled to sex, so you use a prostitute at the expense of her mind. If the statistics and studies point in the direction that over 90% of those women do not want to be there, but are being controlled, how on earth can you feel fully comfortable having your way with her? You may say that the women in brothels had a choice, when in reality some of them didn't either. There was an 18 year old girl, who was forced by her father to work at the Bunny Ranch. He waxed her, made her tan, and paid for her to get implants so she would be more appealing. It's sad, but it's even more sad that people (paying customers) allow this to happen.

This is lie. Women like casual sex just as much as men do and some women use sex to get what they want from men. I think the problem some people have with prostitution is that it is an honest transaction. Why would a man have to be break his wallet for a woman if he can go and pay a fixed price for sex then leave? Of course a prostitute can never offer love but a truly loving woman would never ask a man to break his wallet for her in the first place.

What you're saying is a lie, too. I'm in college so many of my girlfriends enjoy going to the club. A lot of these girls end up going home with random guys and on the surface it seems they're having fun. So many of them though have come to me in confidence saying that they hate it and it makes them feel worthless, but it's so widely accepted they feel they have to do it. Granted, I don't have that much pity for them, it's easy to say no. Men use sex to get what they want just as much we do. Some men fake interest just to get what they want, and once they get it they leave or at least withdrawal. It's hell for a girl when that happens. What women do to you physically, you do to us emotionally. So, stop pointing fingers.

I have no issue with women enjoying casual sex. If men can do it then women can and as long as both genders are honest to the people they do it with then no harm. That being said women should own their choices and stop acting like they are forced to do anything. If a woman does not want to be promiscuous then don't be. We live in an age where many women scream from the rooftops about their right to be sexually liberated so don't act like it is something men are forcing women to do. Women are as much in control of their choices and actions as men are.

Women can tear men up emotionally as well. Ask any man who got the divorce bomb dropped on him out of the blue or had his wife have an affair on him or even any man who is in a relationship and has his woman all of sudden catch GIGS. There are plenty of good, loving and faithful who are torn up emotionally when they get their hearts broken and it is hell for them as well.

I really think for some women the big issue is that they don't want men having any real options despite the fact that legalization will actually make life much better for the vast majority of prostitutes. Women who know they have much more to offer a man than some cheap sexual thrill should not have any issue with it.

I agree with you feelsgoodman, well not with everything because you shouldnt underestimate how few women do this for fun, but I do think the situation is different for 'most' escorts and pornactresses, because. for instance with pornactresses.. the pornindustry 'offers' a lot, where as prostitution mainly 'takes'. Still i dont think this means that all pornactresses and escorts (not all types of escort, because some of them are really cheap and they have pimps etc) love their work.

For instance the girl that beckham supposedly had an affair with, Irma Nici, she is an escort. I dont know her personally but a close friend of mine is a good friend of her family and also used to be her friend. For as far as I know, she CHOSE the profession because it offered her a lot of money, and if you look at the girls of the playboy mansion they CHOSE to do this (they're not prostitutes but they're living in a house an old dude pays for as long as they have sex with him). So I know that the higher the glamour level, the more likely it is that the girl doesn't mind - likes doing it.

But still generally speaking, the amount of women that choses this profession is extremely small, and even if they do chose it it definetly doesnt always make them happy.

Either way, why does it make some of you guys happy to visit them? Especially those of you who are married?

Woggle this is a lie. Of course there are women that do this. But not a lot. Not every woman goes out clubbing, and not every woman that goes out clubbing has a onenightstand. I personally know only 1 girl that has done this in the past. I'm talking for the majority of women, but of course there are exeptions. Besides saying that women act like this, is not really a good 'argument' for you to do it 'too'.

This is pretty much spot on. While human trafficking and exploitation are and should continue to be crimes, I cannot fathom how anyone who believes in free market capitalism can assert that two private individuals should not be allowed to exchange money or other goods for sex. While I think morally one should not have sex outside the confines of a loving relationship, I don't find anything inherently "illegal" about prostitution other than that's it's against the law in most locales. Yes there are prostitutes that are being exploited, but with the rise of the internet and other mediums of communication, there has also been a rise in direct to consumer advertising of prostitution thus diminishing the likelihood and exploitation.

I never said that prostitutes "do this for fun". They do it for the money. As do accountants, janitors, flight attendants and those in most other professions. Not many people actually love their jobs.

Personally, I am of the view that if there was no moral stigma or risk of harm associated with prostitution, lots of women would pick that line of work over, say, being a nurse or a secretary. In the middle ages, being an upscale prostitute (a.k.a. courtesan) was considered highly prestigious.

I think that the position that prostitution has in society is wrong, so I can't really condone supporting it.

I believe that sex industry needs to be decriminalized.

Stuff on this thread that freaks me out:

Muse's assertion that prostitution is illegal, somehow, due to "ugly women." I still can't really believe I just read that. It's giving me a headache.

But then, I read somebody else posting that if prostitution were legal, there would be less RAPE.

Oh My God.

Okay, first of all - rape is illegal, right? So if the sexually frustrated guy is ready to do an illegal act to assuage his painful throbbing boner, or whatever, wouldn't the more benign choice of hiring a pro be preferable to a felonious act of violence against a fellow human being?

But that's all beside the point, since rape is NOT usually a sexually motivated act - it's an act of rage. Not to mention that the largest demographic of rape victims is PROSTITUTES.

Then there's the claim that women don't want prostitution legalized because it will dilute the magical sexual power that we have over men. Ha.

Women who don't want prostitution legalized have other reasons for their position - not that one. Probably ever.

Prostitution, on a global scale, is an underground industry very much dominated by men. The prostitutes themselves are the very lowest, and completely expendable, part of that economic food chain. Even where it's legal, it's surrounded by extreme violations of human rights on many levels. Once it comes out of the darkness, and criminals are not profiting from it so handsomely, perhaps it can change.

Ultimately, maybe it would even disappear. Who knows.

But the ugly women are keeping that from happening?

And what are some of those reasons?

Well, I am a woman and I think it should be legal, but here are some reasons why some individual women, and men would not (from the "Prostitution Research and Education" website:

Legalization/decriminalization of prostitution is a gift to pimps, traffickers and the sex industry.

Legalization/decriminalization of prostitution and the sex industry promotes sex trafficking.

Legalization/decriminalization of prostitution does not control the sex industry. It expands it.

Legalization/decriminalization of prostitution increases clandestine, hidden, illegal and street prostitution.

Legalization of prostitution and decriminalization of the sex industry increases child prostitution.

Legalization/decriminalization of prostitution does not protect the women in prostitution.

Legalization/decriminalization of prostitution increases the demand for prostitution. It boosts the motivation of men to buy women for sex in a much wider and more permissible range of socially acceptable settings.

Legalization/decriminalization of prostitution does not promote women's health.

Legalization/decriminalization of prostitution does not enhance women's choice.

Women in systems of prostitution do not want the sex industry legalized or decriminalized.

I have never heard a beautiful woman caring much about prostitution.

As I said earlier, people who oppose prostitution are religious wackos and insecure fat ugly women who fear that legal prostitution would provide easier outlet for their men to have sex with other more beautiful women.

Just wanna see what people's views are.

No. Unless of course, you are married or in a committed relationship were you have vowed to another to remain faithful to them. Prostitution is however, illegal in most parts of the United States...that in itself is a detterant to many people.

Yada yada yada ...

Your post is full of logical fallacies.

And your slippery slope fallacy in particular is laughable.

"If prostitution is legal, then what other fantasies are going to be legalized?"

I mean are you kidding me? Thats as stupid as opposing gay marriage because before we know it next children marriage or marriage between man and animal is going to be legalized.

I don't think that all women want it illegal because they are ugly but there is a small percentage of women who seem to want to ban anything that men enjoy. They resent anything men do for fun.

I have to agree with the above, when I was forced to take a gender class in college most women in that class could be classified as femi-nazis.

None of those even remotely make sense.

I think it is definitely true that some (not all) women feel threatened by the possibility that legalizing prostitution would make it less taboo and therefore make men more likely to use professional services. This is the same type of women who feel threatened by porn, for much the same reasons (feeling insecure about their worth to men).

Im saying beautiful women are not threatened by prostitution so they are less biased in their view.

Besides we all sell ourselves for money. Do you work? Have you ever worked blue collar job? You dont sound like you have experience working.

I used to work in high school at a Chinese restaurant. I had to stand 12 hours in dirty smelly hot kitchen while being paid lower than minimum wage. Being a prostitute is a despicable job, but there are tons of other jobs that are just as bad or worse.

Open your mind.

I agree with your point, but not the example you chose to illustrate it. What's wrong with allowing marriage between a man or woman and an animal? As long as no one gets harmed and the animal is treated humanely, I see no problem. Marriage between minors is obviously a different matter, however.

So, to those women who oppose prostitution, would you be willing to let men teach seminars on how to pick you up? You know, since you're so picky and all?

Some guys have no clue in what they're doing. Hookers are an easy out, for sex. If you don't want that easy out to be there, provide those guys with an alternative.

Why is marriage between minors a different matter? Gandhi married his wife when he was 13. It was common occurrences in the past.

People say the reason minors shouldnt marry because they are not yet capable of making sound judgment due to their underdeveloped brains- a reason which I agree with. And this same reason also applies to animals. Apart from their lack of intelligence, animals also cant consent to a marriage in the first place since they dont speak.

Musemaj11 I never said I felt threatened by prostitution. I'm worried for these women. Maybe it's something that you just don't understand, not because you don't want to understand it, but because you just CANNOT understand. But it's pointless to keep agrueing since I already told you my opinion and you told us yours.

The reason I feel for this women is because, if you look at it theyre selling sex, but for MOST women sex equals or is very much related to love. This is a scientific fact love and sex area of the female brain are in the same place. And selling your love is terrible, feels terrible. In many places in the world (not all places youre right) but for instance in RLD in Amsterdam 90% of the women (knowledge, for a lot of polls and investigations) are there against their will and even worse over 50% of the women (pure statistics) ended up there as a result of human trafficing. These are statistical facts, you can look this up if you want too. I'm assuming that.. even if you like the idea of a woman selling sex, you don't like the idea of a woman being forced into it or hurting over it?

The only reason you find fault with what I'm saying is because you disagree. My slippery slope argument is legit, and what you're comparing it to is ludicrous. I'm saying that once a sexual fantasy is played out, it will become boring, like everything else. People will always want more and they will have the freedom to experiment and push the limits a bit more. The average starting age of prostitutes here in America is 12-14. You think that's just going to stop with legalization? Also, the tourists having sex with these women aren't being tested, which puts the prostitute in great danger of catching something, then spreading it (it takes anywhere from 3-6 mos. before HIV antibodies are accumulated enough in the body to provide a positive HIV test). We absolutely have to have SOME boundaries.

Prostitution is already legal anyways. It's called porn. Why don't you just join the porn industry? You get paid, she gets paid, you get tested, she gets tested, and rarely do they say no to anyone. You're just as able to act out your fantasies as you are with a prostitute, except you're just as equally involved as your sexual partner is which is how it should be.
