jojoqueen
Is it possible to consider continuous ''flirting'' something people do out of boredom or does it have to mean that a relationship is being formed?
Owl
Sure...it's possible to do it for years without forming a relationship with someone. However...like they say..."it only takes once". Not to mention it's tremendously disrespectful to a spouse if the flirting person is married.
StoneCold
Is it possible to consider continuous ''flirting'' something people do out of boredom or does it have to mean that a relationship is being formed? It is possible and it doesnt mean that a relationship is being formed... But as they say "beware what you 'ask for'...you might get it"..... things always start out as flirting and then next thing you know you're hitting the sheets. Now if thats what you want...great...but if its not....problem. Flirting has a way of sneaking up on you....in a good AND a bad way.

Why would you immediately jump to giving advice regarding married people? Flirting itself is not a bad behavior. And to the OP, anything is possible although i do not know the statistics (i.e. the chance of that happening).
Author jojoqueen
I will clear it up. One of the parties is legally married and the other is in a long term (22 yrs) relationship.
nyrias
I will clear it up. One of the parties is legally married and the other is in a long term (22 yrs) relationship. In that case, it is wrong, and the flirting itself can be construed as a form of infidelity, although not as severe, in consequences, as a full blown PA. Either way, it is probably not wise (and please take advice here as from random internet poster, as opposed to professional counseling help) to let the situation to continue. Here's your sign! :) And I'd like to add that the OP did come back and clarify...one of them WAS INDEED married, and both in a committed relationship. I try not to spend too much time jumping to WILD conclusions...but working through a logical assumption based on circumstances doesn't consume too many calories for me to consider. Hmm .. infidelity (and cheating) is not restricted to married couples, is it? (that is rhetorical, i am sure we agree on the same answer.) But yes, the OP did come back and clarify and in this case, of course it should be discussed in the context of marriage.
