jonny78
Just thought i'd let you all know about something I experienced this morning. I've been NC for a long time now, and I hear lots of stories about how people feel when they break it. Well last night I had a dream that I was in a club and my ex was there too... In my dream I approached her and we talked and made up saying no hard feelings. I went to buy her a drink, upon arriving back I found that she had gone home with a boy and updated her facebook status saying "can finally sleep at night" to which she ignored all my texts and calls in the dream... So I wake up not realising that it was a dream, and I felt AWFUL, I was hitting my pillows and was disgusted with myself for giving into her, losing my pride and letting her release her guilt etc... I finally realised that it was a dream and I was so happy! I think I can safely say that experienced has made me realise that if NC were broke than it would probably be for the above reasons and it would hurt 10x worse in real life... I will be NC with this girl for the rest of my life, I don't care if she tries to contact me in 30 years, I won't be responding. After what she did I think that's perfectly fine. Just thought i'd share, weird experience...
radiodarcy
Lol.. i had a dream about breaking NC with my ex too; where i broke down and sent him a text message after seeing him at a restaurant. we talked and he acted like he was happy to see me and said we should do something. after waiting a day and still nothing, i sent him the text and kept looking for a response that never came. and yes - - when i woke up i had the same reaction as you and said "thank goodness it's just a dream!" that too gave me renewed resolve to never break NC for any reason - - which, i haven't
TearyEyedPride
Lol. I can feel the relief you felt when you found out it was just a dream. Funny but interesting. Sometimes our subconscious speaks volumes.
