Stepping up to the plate

Thanks, Thinkalot :), especially for the kind compliments.

I think what I might need is to get mad. Situations like this, where someone is treating me unfairly, usually get me a nice head of steam which I then use to fuel whatever actions I have to take to rectify the situation. It's unlike me to stand down from this sort of challenge. But I guess part of me is somewhat weary of this sort of BS and would prefer it not occur at all. Guess that is too much to ask, eh?

Come to think of it, maybe I've banished too much anger from my life. I suppose one needs at least a little for occasions such as this

Yep, some healthy anger, directed the right way can be motivating and powerful.

An update for folks who were kind enough to post on this thread and send their good wishes..

My excellent accountant referred me to an excellent lawyer who has already gotten the other parties to back down quite a bit and can do even more in that direction, should I wish it! I was worried this might prove to be a much longer battle, but this guy really knows his way around situations like mine, unlike an earlier lawyer.

I knew that all of you who said that it would likely turn out to not be as bad as I feared were probably right, but other times in my life things ended up a little less happily. This isn't over but it looks like it will end fairly soon. Yay! :)
