That's basically a nice way of saying "man boobs", for those unfamiliar with the term. Anyway, how do you go about getting rid of them? I've had them for as long as I can remember, and it really bothers me. Admittedly, I don't do a lot of exercise, and I don't particularly watch what I eat, but I'm not overweight, or anything. Actually, I've looked up healthy weight levels for people my age, height, etc., and from what I can tell, I'm right about at the healthy weight level I should be. I suppose at most, I could stand to lose maybe 5-10 pounds, but I've been 5-10 pounds lighter in the past, and I still looked the same.

Honestly, I'm okay with having more of a belly, rather than abs, but the man boobs are really killing me. And maybe it's just my imagination, but I almost feel like mine are "pointier" and stick out more than the average "man boobs" on a husky guy. Dunno. :/

if all else fails- and you are that bothered....... i would seriously consider surgery; it would be worth the cost if it bothers you that much.

If you've always had them, I'm not sure exercise and diet will do much.

Consider seeing an endocrinologist for a full hormone workup.

Try diet and exercise.

Then, as laRubia said, there is breast reduction surgery for men as a last resort.

I'm sure surgery would be much too expensive for me (I'm a full time college student, with a part time job in retail, making about minimum wage), not to mention I've always been kind of freaked out by the idea of being put under for any kind of surgical procedures.

My younger brother had a large weight problem growing up. When he finally lost all of it, he was left with sagging man boobs. He needed to have surgery to correct it, and I'd recommend the same

Going under the assumption that you know a little bit more about what the surgery entails (since someone close to you went through with it), just out of curiosity, how much did it cost? What's the recovery time? Is it something you can get done in a day, and then be back out and about the next day? I usually have some trouble requesting more than a couple days off at work without a good excuse, and I'd be way too embarrassed to have to tell my boss "Oh, yeah, and I need a few days off because I'm having surgery to get rid of my man boobs". @_@

Of course, that's assuming I have absolutely no other non-surgical options. And considering the responses thus far, I'm thinking that's looking pretty bleak... *sigh* Guess I'm stuck with these stupid things. :/

you could always go get an opinion on the matter.

Who do you go to to get an opinion from? Just any doctor, or specifically a plastic surgeon, or what? I don't even know what the operation is called. I dunno, I'm still curious to see if anyone can answer the questions I had about it in my above post. I'm almost positive it'll be much too expensive for me to even consider, but I'm just curious, as I'm on the brink of desperation.

yes, a doctor/ plastic surgeon. maybe there are nonsurgical alternatives..... such as hormone therapy (if it is a hormone thing).

and you could possibly get a ballpark of what the cost would be and if insurance would cover any of the costs.

maybe liposuction would suffice- but i would think a professional could tell you in greater depth.
