Abstinence

Have you always been so ignorant about applying "politically correct" ways of saying things, when black people aren't allowed to be referred to as "black", but rather, "African American" or Indians are only supposed to be referred to as "Native Americans" otherwise you're considered racist. where as "white people" are just referred to as "white". If I have to be politically correct about everyone else, I wanna be referred to as "caucasion" dag nabit!

Yes, I use the word gay loosely. May God strike me down now.

What intriguing critical thinking skills! :lmao:

I would encourage you OP, to consider the feelings of those belonging to marginalized groups. Educating yourself for the reasons behind the sensitivities, would be a start.

As for abstinence, I don't believe it's a heartfelt interest to you. Rather, a reaction to being rejected.

You're not going to catch many guys with that attitude, OP. Especially the homophobic comments.

I am a straight Christian male, but have gay friends and respect them.

Personally, I just don't understand gays. I'm a female and find many women to be very beautiful, more so than straight men (most anyway), but I know what women do when they have sex and that would just not cut it for me. A man's (you know what) was designed for a woman's (you know what) and they do the same insertive things with other objects as you would if you just had sex with a man. It doesn't make any logical sense. It would not satisfy you the way normal sex with a man would and vice versa for men. Men need a hole to put it in and the backdoor hole does not feel the same as the front door hole of a woman. It wouldn't satisfy you completely.

I'm just highly logical.

Not to mention, the backdoor hole is incredibly dangerous and unnatural to stick anything in, 'cause more STD's among other things, and can cause permanent damage if done too long.

Doesn't sound like fun for anyone. ::shrugs::

So yeah, the thought that a person would actually choose to do this is baffling to me.

Like I said...I find women beautiful. Do I want to have sex with one? No, because logically, puzzle piece A does not fit into puzzle piece B.

I'll just wait til I find a man who's as beautiful to me as women are.

It's kinda like transexuals don't make any sense, either. I have no problem with them, it's your life, but it just flat out doesn't make any sense to me.

A man can never become a woman and vice versa. pretty much, if a man has reconstructive surgery, he just has a mutilated crotch. He'll never be able to have kids or have a period because he does not have the chromosomes and hormones to do that because he was not born that way.

And with a woman becoming a man, she/he'll never be able to ejaculate. Those things are key to me in being either male or female. If my body can't function fully as either, then I think I'll stick to what God gave me.

So sure, if you want to mutilate your crotch, go for it. Do I think it makes sense? Absolutely not.

With that being said, there are many female to male transexuals I find attractive because I am straight, but I happen to like very feminine features in a guy and female to male transexuals tend to look a combination of both masculine and feminine. I would never date one, though. Because I know what's down there and it is not what I am looking for.

When you think about life in a logical, sensible way, the fact that there is a God becomes more apparent and his laws make a lot more sense.

This needs to be enforced more in everyone's lives.

true enough. Abstinence is an easy virtue to follow. But very difficult to accomplish

You are?

It isnt logical to wait for the "right" person before having sex but you advocate this...

I really don't see how any other way of looking at life is logical. Faith is not based on fact, but faith is very logical.

Also, waiting for the right person is very logical as well. Cuts down on loads of heart ache and std's and aids. Also avoids unwanted pregnancy.

What's not logical about abstinence?

Also, what's not logical in looking at the world and being able to see that there obviously is a higher power that created it all?

Babies in and of themselves are miracles and 2 people have to create them. Buildings don't get built on their own, it takes hands to build them.

I really don't see how anyone can look at the world and not see God's part in it.

Doesn't make a bit of logical sense to me.

I said that wrong, faith is based on fact, but it is fact that people are capable of having faith and faith is a belief that something is real and a belief is fact. Knowing something with all your heart and soul to be true.

I hate to break it to ya...but I suppose I won't be mean and I will pray for all you non-believers, because I would not want to be any of you while standing at the doors of Heaven when you die.

I would also not want to be any of you while on Earth, either. To go about life not believing that there is a one for you and not believing in God has got to be a very sad, miserable, and lonely life to live.

Like I said. I will pray for all of you, because you need it.

Desperately.

1) Accepting that there MAY be a higher power as a possibility because you dont have all the information and realize that there is much you dont know and undrstand is logical....but beleiving that it is definitely so when you DON'T have all the information is NOT...... sorry

which leads me to...

2) Having an imaginary friend is not logical in any way shape or form.....again...sorry

3) Faith is NOT based on fact...its based on ideals...thats why its called FAITH lmao

4) The reason why waiting for the "right" person is not logical is because you are depriving yourself a natural and healthy urge for something you can never prove or substantiate. Prove that the person you beleive is the "right" person, actually is....you cant do this....ask all those going through a divorce right now...they'll tell you.

5) Cuts down on heart ache??? ROTFLMAO...are you kidding me??? again... ask all those couple who are either going through divorce or experiencing rough times LOL....which is like.... the vast majority of couples.

6) STDs? wow you need to wise up. Just because you feel the way you do....doesnt mean your partner truly feels the same or hasnt had a change of heart somewhere along the way. God knows what he could have been out there doing just hours before you let him slide his raw cock in your twat.. go visit the infidelity section of this board.

Logical? lol... I think not

According to your own logic, an Atheist with the belief that there is no god is also right. A belief isn't fact, it's an opinion- very different from a fact.

Faith isn't fact. Faith is the act of believing in something despite the lack of evidence.

This "logic" is flawed. Just because you think you found the right person for you, doesn't mean you won't one day experience heartache. It also doesn't mean you will never get an STD. Ask the women who had husbands cheat on them and bring them home an STD.

My dad has never cheated on my mom. If I were to find a man like him, or the right person, he wouldn't cheat on me, and if he did, he's not the right person. So, I wouldn't still be with him.

The right person will never cheat on you.

lmao im sorry im gonna have to fuel this religious debate.

As many already stated there is no fact that "god" exists. The whole god argument is what we call an inductive argument, which can either be strong or weak depending on the premises, but there is no 100% way to prove it. Faith and reason are pretty much opposites so idk what you're going on about there

Secondly take a look at how the world works, it recycles itself in one big circle of life. You eat an apple, it turns to compost to nourish a tree, that tree sprouts apples, we eat the apple. An animal dies, they support other life through either becoming fertilizer or food, new life is sustained or born from its death. All forms of life follow a simple pattern because life feeds off itself. How is it logical at all to believe there is a god we've never seen controlling this system that basically runs on its own, that masters this magical kingdom of human spirits that has no trace of existence, that our life force somehow teleports to after death and lives there in complete happiness for eternity only if we are "non sinners" in life on planet earth? As much I would like to believe that, from a logical point of view it makes as much sense as santa or the easter bunny.

You just described dust and how we were created from it. God made Adam and Eve out of dust/dirt. The human form of everyone will turn back into dust, i.e. the Earth. It's your soul that goes onto Heaven (or Hell). It's in Genesis.

Oh and, I do believe there actually was a real Santa in history and that's how the story of Santa came about in recent years. Read up on it. I know it's a story I've heard. Some guy leaving presents on door steps or something, Santa is actually based off a real person. I don't know if he actually existed, but it is a story based off a live person. It might just be a story, but it's a story based off a realistic person. Obviously, he didn't have reindeer's that fly, but the general concept of a man leaving presents for people at their houses was actually fact. Not sure if it was true or not, just saying I have heard of it.

The easter bunny...don't know where that came from, but believing in God isn't like believing in the Easter Bunny. God and Jesus was actually a man that walked the Earth. Everyone is told that the Easter Bunny is fake. Nobody is ever told that God is fake, unless you have no faith. People are told exactly the opposite. People are told that Jesus did in fact walk the Earth and perform miracles and get risen from the dead. Sounds funny to believe in that, but when you think of how the world got here, it sounds funnier to think it just went "boom" and we all evolved from "apes". If we all evolved from apes, then why are there still apes on the planet? There are stories of species evolving, but the previous form of that species ceases to exist. That's the only other, scientific way to explain the world and human beings coming into existence. There's 2 things to believe in other than a higher power...the big bang theory and evolution. I'm sorry, but believing that I once used to be a monkey, sounds crazier than believing in a creator. Like I said...all his laws make sense, like the laws about gays, which I fail to see why nobody tackled that argument about how they are wrong in everything they do, other than the fact that what I said makes logical sense and it would be pretty hard to argue.

If you're gonna tell me the world just went "boom" and we evolved from a completely different species that still exists along side us, then you are crazier than any Christian. A baby doesn't get inside a mother by going "boom" or "evolving". It's created. A building doesn't go boom and just appear. Nothing on the face of this planet goes "boom" and just appears. It's created, it's built, by human hands. Man was made in the likeness of God. Woman (ONE woman) was created to be by his side. Just the act of sex alone is enough to know that there is a loving God up there watching over all of us. The act of loving someone is enough to know that there's a God If you can't look at a human being or the human race and see the incredible, unique and fascinating design in it, you are more illogical than anyone I've ever known.

Everything is created. Everything is designed. The only thing that goes "boom" is an act in a magician's show. And that is not real.

God is real. Believe it or not.

I have an abundance of

Faith.

That's proof enough.

See you just killed your argument all by yourself...

You just said that if that person cheated on you...then he wouldnt be right. Thats my point....you got together with said guy because you THOUGHT he was "right"....you had sex with him and it turns out you were wrong....aaaannnnd you go back to the drawing board and do it all over again; how many times? 2 times? 6 times? how many "mr rights" are talking here?...you dont know

So much for your argument

lmao ok, so basically you have a question begging argument saying "i believe god is real, because i believe god is real"

Man is a case of evolution from apes. We have something like 97% of the same DNA and proof dating back thousands of years. Our bodies and minds are constantly trying to adapt and become more efficient depending on what we do with them. With that said, I can easily see ourselves adapting and evolving from apes. We are just as much creatures of earth as every other living entity. We eat, we poop, and we reproduce and die just like everything else. Our biological intelligence doesn't mean we have a secret magical kingdom we go to when we die, it only gives us the imagination to come up with that. Its the same as saying only chameleons go to "heaven" because they can camoflague. We hold just as much life as any other living thing on this planet, so why is it only humans receive an eternal life of bliss?

One of the glaring differences is that we are the only living thing that is knows about death. Since humans have this urge for knowledge and understanding, they killed two birds with one stone in the case of inventing religion. Not only does it give some comforting answer for death which will always be a loose end in human understanding, it also provides a way to manipulate and control people. Look back through history and all those wars about religion with millions that have died in the name of "god". Thats what happens when you try to mix faith with reason, or in that case the church with government.

Greek mythology is filled with personified ideas of gods having human characteristics and a human shape just like god is depicted. It is also basic human psychology to have authority figures to tell us what to do to make life less scary which we are conditioned to adapt from our parents as children. Every human on earth has the ability to imagine a god, but no human like figure has the ability to create the genius design of planet earth. To say this was made by an immortal magical human and we will live in forever and eternal bliss after death is wishful thinking.

I know there will be things we have yet to and probably will never understand, but just because we don't understand how something works, doesnt mean its an act of god. If we could bring a person from the distant past and time travel them to today, they would automatically assume when they see view our lights in darkness, our computers, our cars, airplanes, even toilets as acts of god.
