erika2610
They aren't worth it Dacian. They are probably all losers who have no lives who sit at home and like to go around boards and troll on everyone's threads. I'm not going to be their punching bag anymore. I put them all on block. Then who will give you the attention you so clearly crave?

Author DreamerGirl27
<-- virgin! DreamerGirl, I thought you wanted sex w/ that guy you like? Contradiction? KR10N, I do, sort of. I meant to title this "abstinence education" should be enforced more. I explained to FloridaMan, that my reasoning for waiting till marriage is mostly out of fear, and that I really don't want to wait. I really don't even want to get married. the whole ritual/tradition of a big wedding, or even a small wedding and the whole ceremony thing, really isn't my cup of tea. I don't want to plan one. I don't want to wear the dress. (I think most of them are poofy and frumpy and ugly looking and I HATE heels) I don't want to pay for one. I don't want to go through the actual day where everyone and my mother (literally) watches us. etc. the most I'd be willing to do would be to go to a justice of the peace, but even then, my ideal thing to do, would be to live with a guy for 7 years and then just have the law say we're legally married. I don't want to go through the hassle of getting married at all. My reasoning for going along with the bible and doing it the "right" way, is basically because I'm afraid of being slept with and/or knocked up and having the guy leave me. I somehow think, that because it's in the bible, that it's set in stone and people must live by it (because that's how I view the bible). So I think if a guy were to marry me, he's never gonna divorce me because he literally can't. Which is not true. Now, it is true, that if a guy does marry you, he most likely will not leave you, because that shows a huge commitment on his part, but he could sleep with me on our wedding night and divorce me the next day. Do I think this would happen if a guy married me? No...is it possible...yes. Do I think it would happen if we did it before we were married. Yes...is it possible he wouldn't...yes. So, it's kind of a complicated thing. I think if a guy marries me he'd be less likely to leave after sleeping with me than he would be if I slept with him before hand. Which is pretty much true. But the bottom line is, I don't want to get married. I have no desire to. I'd be doing it solely out of insecurities and I don't want to do that. I do like the guy I like, though. And I probably would sleep with him. But I support abstinence and think it is a very responsible, healthy and admirable thing to teach young kids.
Eve
Just thought I would give you something to muse on Dreamergirl. It is something I have thought about quite a bit, with regard to the gay issue.. thing. http://thewildreed.blogspot.com/2008/06/jesus-and-centurion-part-1.html Tell me what you think. PM will probably be better if you wish but I will let you make an approach if you so see fit. There are probably others here who could offer more support than me though as I am busy much of the time. In total, I go with the 'God is love' angle but I do believe in vengeance and hell for the heathen. But I reckon loving relationships are ok whatever your orientation. Basically Sodom got burned because they were a bunch of pervs. Fornicators and adulterers are also going to get a bad one too. That's that really. As for marriage and all that stuff. I wouldn't worry about any of it. I never even thought I would get married. Never thought I would even have kids but here I am. Work out what you can handle before asking for wants, I say. Marriage and kids is the harder option and can be a form of slavery if you don't know what you want. Ok, I would seriously, seriously advise that you read up on stuff to do with sexuality and go buy a toy or two. This is not meant to be nasty to you or owt like that. Sexual tension can eat a person up. I think you have to make very definite and specific moves in order to get to where you want to go but pray always that God lead and protect you as you venture out and try new things. Abstinence should not be forced onto a person through fear. I see the points that you have made about marriage as being valid in a way but also unrealistic because the energy for you to fulfill all the stuff outlined is not there, so that is why you can't imagine it. This is ok. What matters is that you are alive and have options. Explore your options and don't sign up for anything you feel you can't manage. Take care, Eve x

fitgirl
There is nothing rude about sticking to my beliefs just because they are unpopular and you don't support it. I don't support gays. I don't believe in being gay, I don't think you're born that way, I believe it to be a choice and a dumb one at that. Sue me, I have an opinion that not a lot of people agree with. that's not rude, that's fact and I'm entitled to my opinion, no matter what anyone else has to say about it. ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww gay hate

JHS
I don't think Dreamergirl is preaching, and I can appreciate her point. So many things in society seem to kind of force people to be these sexual beings. I think her point is that there should also be some emphasis on knowing that it's okay to abstain without being called a freak (or a preacher).

I think her point is that there should also be some emphasis on knowing that it's okay to abstain without being called a freak (or a preacher). I agree w/ this statement. As far as DG has mentioned, she does want to have sex. She is however, legal age & can do so on her on terms w/ whomever & how ever. But, she's played the Christian card before. I'm not saying there's anything wrong w/ that, because I do know a lot of Christians who've had premarital sex. She has posted more than once about religion, & putting those two together does make it seem like she's been preaching. I'm not complaining, those are her first amendment rights. It just that some of her statements come off as hypocritical or contradictory (or a few of us just aren't really understanding exactly what she is saying). Sorry, DG, but that's where I often get confused w/ you. Edited July 8, 2011 by KR10N

Sorry, DG, but that's where I often get confused w/ you. You aren't understanding what I'm saying, because I'm not entirely sure what I'm saying myself. I'm just looking for answers. Part of my religion posts are just to prove to myself that he does exist, because I even have doubts. I struggled with agnosticism for awhile, then came back to believing, and now I think I'm a Deist. (belief in God, but not the trinity or the bible) I've been trying to find reasons and ways the bible could makes legitimate sense and be actual fact and be right in ways that it says being gay is a sin. And when you think about it...it kinda does make sense. I mean...I don't want to get graphic again, but it's not exactly the "norm". There are more straight people than gay people. I'm just trying to convince myself of what I believe and why there are so many Christians who are the way they are, because I can't stand them myself. My only problem, is I grew up around them. They're pretty much all I know. But I don't want to be like them. Anyway...I don't know what else to say. But yes, you're all horribly confused at what I'm trying to say.
