Ross MwcFan
I always thought they were a way of helping you with your problems. But a lot of the time, my dreams just make me feel like crap. Especially the one I had this morning, I've actually been feeling like crap all day because of it. Can anyone else relate?
thehead
I've had a reoccurring dream that wrecks me each time. Ride it out.
Ruby Slippers
I also believe that dreams are the ramblings from your head that you won't let come out normally. Even when I have a weird/bad dream that makes me feel crappy, I always think about what the message could have been. Last night, I had this really bizarre dream that I got almost my whole body tattooed (I have no tattoos at all in reality), and then later wondered why the hell I had done it. I woke up feeling weird! But I have been chewing on it all day, thinking about what the message might be.
Finch
I've had dreams that have left me feeling out of sorts, or creeped out, or upset for days. Even though it's just synapses firing and creating an assortment of images and scenarios they can still affect us. Sorry you're feeling bad because of it. On the upside, maybe your next dream will be fantastic! Baby ducks riding on baby elephants beside streams of champagne while a line of people approach you and give you awards. Woo! Dorie
Unfortunatley 99% of dreams I have are unpleasant. That's often the result of depression and anxiety. Expect it to change as you work through both. The elephant riding ducks will come. Believe.
Finch
Dorie is right. When I was dealing with the resurgence of anxiety and panic attacks after going off anti-depressants I had bad dreams almost all the time. But as I progressed and learned new coping techniques they lessened. The elephant riding ducks will indeed come. It takes them some time to find you, (they're just little after all) but they will get there.
PelicanPete
They usually won't go away until you discover why you're having them and deal with the problem. If you analyze and decipher your dreams over an extended period of time, you'll learn they often have a common theme or pattern. Deal with the problem, the dreams will go away, and you'll be happier. 4you
I've had certain ordeals in the past that I just couldn't let go off, and the same bs & people end up play over and over again in my dreams. Nothing much to do about it. Those dreams get less frequent, and I care less about them. Both will happen over time.

It was hard but I'm 100% and I've been this way for a while. The thing is every night I dream about her, almost every night. During the day I don't give 2 ****s about her - I go to bed and she's there every night. Weird
