KR10N
I've had a good last few months but for some reason I feel like **** today! Woke up feeling great & worked out for an hour. Now I have a headache that's lasted for 2 hours & for some damn reason the guy I've liked for so long comes to mind & bums me out. This sudden depression is bull. Maybe it's a mixture of my headache & the heat, I haven't had my coffee! What in the world sparks a sudden depression like this? Anyone else gone from great to crap in mere seconds? Dorie
Have you factored out your monthly?
Finch
If you've been doing well for the last few months - energy level up, sleeping well, feeling good - then don't let a sudden bad day get to you. It happens to me from time to time. I can be feeling wonderful and then suddenly horrid. It happens. I try not to dwell on it. If it's a particular thought that's brought me down I give myself a small amount of time (say, a half hour max) to wonder about it and then focus on something else. Moods change. Sometimes it's like a switch has been flipped. For you it might be the heat, the lack of caffeine, who knows?
Finch
Have you factored out your monthly? Ah, the pre-post-inter-period mood dive. I hadn't thought of that. I must be well-balanced this month.

Yup..All depends where I am in my cycle, and of course if you get a headache/migraine going that can cause a mini depression for a day or two. What I try to do is not let it get to me..Meaning, it is what it is, I feel like crap and don't sit and think too much about it. Just take care of yourself when you feel that low.. And just know in a day or two, or maybe later on in the day you'll feel much better. Hope this helps!
Author KR10N
I read a few pages from & book as I drank a soda. That helped great, but still ended up having a headache when I went to bed. No depression though.

snug.bunny
If you don't have a history of clinical depression, it could just be the changes in temperature. A bad headache can make you feel sluggish and not in the best of moods, especially if it is a migraine or a tension head ache. If you have someone who can give a good foot massage, there are pressure points in your feet, and with a deep relaxing foot rub ----> it does wonders. A nice relaxing warm shower/bath helps too. Dorie
OP, did you discover the origin of the depression? It could be helpful to take note of the cause should it arise again unexpectedly.
