ventdomain Posted June 21, 2011 Share Posted June 21, 2011 Been in no contact for about 2 months. She told me it was best if we stopped talking and I told her I was saying goodbye forever. She was very terrible to me throughout the course of our breakup and went out of her way to hurt me. She led me on for months and months until she found a new guy (who I hear is a loser). I don't feel like she deserves to hear anything from me after she behaved like she did. I just want some reassurance that I made the right choice. I do still love her but it's for the wrong reasons and I'm trying to move on. Did I make the right move? Link to post Share on other sites
radiodarcy Posted June 21, 2011 Share Posted June 21, 2011 you absolutely made the right call! i've been in NC for three months; i didn't wish my ex happy fathers' day nor do i have any plans to contact him on his birthday at the end of next month; for the same reason you didn't contact your ex: he doesn't deserve to hear any of that from me after the way he treated me. i'm sure my ex will take it as slight and be offended but i honestly don't care. he made the decision to dump for both of us - - i had no say in it. but he doesn't get to have me in his life on a contingency basis where i pop in from time to time to ease his guilt and pump up his ego;nor to have me add to the heap of birthday wishes he'll be getting - - one of which will be from his new girlfriend.
