lovesickmonkey
is struggling to go through piles of letters and cards and separating out the ones from her and throwing them away, all the while crying so hard I can't see what I'm doing. And I see little phrases, "I love you," "happy first anniversary," "Happy Valentine's." And cards from family reading, "Congratulations on your engagement. And trust me, one of the most miserable things to do is put up an engagement ring, lightly used, for sale. If I could erase the memory of these two years, I swear I would. I would trade this heartbreak for anything else. Not coping today.
stopthemadness
Hi lovesick, sorry for our pain and heart ache. I too am about your age and let me tell you. These things happen to people of ALL ages. My advice is go No Contact as soon as you can and stick with it. Its the only true way to heal. I wish I would have done it right off the bat. But I didnt, I let him play with my feelings for months before I said enough!! July 7, I will be brokeup with my ex One whole year. Wow it was one really intence year. But I lived through it and so will you. How long were you guys 2gether? 2 yrs? We were 2gether 8 1/2 years. How long you been brokeup? It does get better...Soo hang in there...keep posting it helps.....

Author lovesickmonkey
Thanks Stopthemadness. Today it seemed like the madness wouldn't stop. Yes we were together for two years and when she left it has seemed like time has stopped for me. The periods of happiness have gotten longer but the pain hasn't diminished during the bad times. Thanks for the support.
